Summary: I like almost everything about this laptop the one thing I did not care for was the small screen size, but the sound is amazing and the speed is great. In addition, my screen went out about 10-11 months later. This was not due to hp or a malfunction but simply because I kept opening/adjusting the laptop on the left side bottom corner which is were the screen connects to the rest of the computer.
Summary: Dsepite the fact that i bought 2 pièces of this laptop, the seller (BLINQ) gave a false description of the products, shipped someting entirely different from what was ordered for. When contacted, i was asked to send the machines back to them, whereas the machines are being taken out of the States, I am highly disappointed at this act of deception.
Summary: When this device worked it was great, however I had more thchnical troubles with this laptop then I've ever had with any device I've ever owned. every 6 months the fan would start to malfunction, and after the warrantee had expired (including a square trade support agreement), the entire unit became barely usable. Not built to last.
Summary: The laptop is ok for the price. I bought this machine in 2011 from Amazon. PRO's * Good battery life: While it doesn't last 6+ hours on a single charge, it has a good battery life. * Light: Not bad for the hardware package, which includes a DVD/CD drive. * Acceptable build quality. Again, not bad for the price.
Summary: Hinges are crap. It got so bad that they eventually fell apart completely, just from opening and closing the laptop. The left edge of the screen started to warp badly with only a couple years of use. The fans were really noisy and the left side would get super hot after extended periods of time.Cheaply made and unreliable. I wasn't too impressed with graphics processing either. There are plenty of pcs in this price range that could outperform it.
Summary: Purchased the HP in June 2011 and started having problems in 2012. Cooling fan stopped working and had some issues with hard drive. Had to figure out how to restore everything last year. And now this year, I'm trying to get in touch with HP to get "recovery disk" as I cannot access Windows. Just hasn't been a pleasant experience with this HP so I bought the HP Envy. Don't like it either. That's it for HP as far as I'm concerned. Going back to Dell.
