Summary: I would not recommend this product. Not really satisfied at first but my son convinced me to keep it. Low and behold, 32 days later the hard drive went out and have had nothing but problems since.
Summary: I actually own this laptop and it's awful, the screen is not sturdy at all, the processor is running at 90% all the time and the only programs running at the time are windows and the security suite. Hard drive crashed after 1 and a bit months and HP removed the old hard disk, with the data still on it and threw it away, they then put a new hard drive in and said "sorry for any inconvenience caused".
Summary: Pros:good battery life (4-7 hours, I'm convinced it could last for 10h provided You would do virtually nothing),it's not very heavy;it looks very nice. the lid is made from some ruber, it's really nice to touch, has USB 3.0, VGA. Cons: problems with drivers on systems different than win8 (win7 and linux even more) ethernt,wifi,usb3.0, and many more. It heats very quickly because of rubber on the bottom, and the fan is quite loud.
Summary: As a postscript to my review below, the screen hinges on this netbook finally broke and the product is now unusable, despite the netbook itself being in perfect working order. I had owned it just over 12 months. Am now on an Acer Aspire One, which doesn't have great audio, but not having a wobbly screen is infinitely better. Don't think I'd ever buy HP again, to be honest.

Summary: Dear Sirs, I am sorry that I must return this product for the following reasons: PRODUCT: -inbuilt mouse does not function adequately/freezes.. since day one. Although a separate mouse worked better, but inbuilt mouse is essential for travel etc. -The bottom of the PC has on several occasions gotten extremely hot. At left side near vent. -Without any intervention, on several occasions the screen flipped to other tiles, of its own accord?.
Summary: The look and feel of this machine is stunning, and if all you want it for is a bit of internet browsing and social networking then it is fine. Unfortunately I needed something with a bit more guts, that would enable me to research on a large scale. This machine did not fit the criteria. Although it has a half decent processor speed the processor does not run at the speed as stated there is a tendency to overheat and the machine freezes.
Summary: Compact, smart etc. Spec is drowned by Win8 updates and wired operation of Win8 with touch pad - I have Googled for ways to tame it, there are many - buying one with Win7 would be smarter - get Win8 when you have a touch screen
Windows 8 and Processor performance issues / first day - experiences - and about Start8, Apps, disable of Start live tiles.

Summary: EDIT (my final edit of this review) I have this notebook for about 6 weeks - it's not like I loaded it with junk or did anything that would result in why this is performing as bad as a Dell Mini after 3 years did. It's slow, freezing all the time, watch a video and you get a high-cpu alert, try to download a new version of itunes and it freezes, try to remove a program and it freezes, the outlook app is useless basically, missing all functionality that would make an...
