Summary: The laptop is less than 6 months old and the Hard Disk failed 2 times with no data recovery available; and the CD Drive was bad on delivery and had to be replaced IMMEDIATELY. Buyer beware..... you have to take the complete front off and keyboard to get to the hard disk.
Summary: Have this laptop for over a year now. A month after warranty expired it crushed. My local computer repair center said that motherboard needs to be replaced due to overheat, which costs around $200-250. I used laptop in a regular way, didn't spill anything on it, didn't drop it, didn't overheat it.

Summary: The performance is fine while it wrks. It has two very serious flaws though. 1 : the hard drive is pure trash. It just can't handle any real games or anything much more than just surfing. 2 : this is where HP really shows their sadistic side.
Cons: this is the slowest laptop I've ever owned. Open Chrome, try to load a web page, wait 1 minute. Even lightweight browsers take forever to load. Document processing is a pain. Keystrokes sometimes take forever to input.
Summary: The laptop I bought a month ago was an hp certified refurbished one. The overall performance (cpu speed,..) is ok, but some of the keys on the keyboard are not working some time, so it's little hard to use this laptop as we need to make sure if the pressed key actually worked or not.
**HARD DRIVE DIED after 60 days **GETS MASSIVELY HOT. I hope a burglar steals it.

Summary: I'm a little disappointed. I'm replacing a 4 year old Dell Inspiron 5720, just handing that one down to the kids. THIS LAPTOP GETS EXTREMELY HOT. My old Dell got hot, but this HP is so hot I cannot keep it on my lap for more than about 60 seconds if I am wearing shorts.
