Summary: This was a Birthday gift for grandson. It is totally unusable of the shelf. Boot time is 18-22 minutes. Pop-ups, endless bloatware, security scans and fix-it ads occur every few minutes. Uninstalling does not help. I am now reformatting and re-installing OS and drivers for a hopefully functional laptop minus all the HP bloatware.
Pros: os is nice but
Cons: tons of bloatware make it unusable need to be tech saavy to reinstall os & drivers hp has lost a family of future hp purchases.

Summary: I concur with all of the negative comments. My daughters computer keeps freezing. We had the hard drive replaced twice through Square Trade and it still does it. Piece of junk. It started within a year but my daughter does not use the computer that much so we were in no rush to fix it. She just kept forcing it to shut down and restart, but that stopped working too. The last tech guy said there is probably a problem with the motherboard and maybe HP has a recall on it.
Summary: Worst laptop ever. This is my second HP and I will never buy HP again. I had a bad experience with HP DV6767TX laptop which I brought in 2008 for over $1000. Within a year of getting that laptop, I had keys coming off, vertical lines started appearing on the screen and ultimately the battery died. I gave it away to somebody so that they can repair and use it. I have a work laptops from Lenovo since last 8 years.
Summary: This laptop has been horrible from day one. It has acted like a virus was on it or a serious hardware issue. Sometimes it wouldn't turn on, the screen would freeze, touchscreen randomly goes in and out, won't load pages or connect to internet, just a lot of issues. I have had virus protection the whole time. Bought a warrenty so I took it back. They sent it off to get fixed. Found out it was hardware related so they put in a new hard drive.
I'm very frustrated and sick of calling HP and would like a pc that works

Summary: March 14, 2015 -Since the review below, I contacted HP in writing and after explaining my situation, I was given a replacement. HP service was very quick, and the persons I spoke with directly were very courteous and helpful to keep me up to date. Therefore, I give HP 5 STARS for customer service. Thanks HP. This PC must be a lemon. I have had to call HP repair service every month. Sometimes two to 3 times per month.
