Excerpt: It was delivered within a few days. Worked well for a few days but have now had two episodes of the system not booting up appropriately. Had one visit to the Geek Squad and now have to take it back a second time. Seems that the issue is with BIOS upgrade that was suggested as an update by HP. Hope this does not continue to be an issue every time I have an update.Otherwise I like the unit. When it was running it was quick and responsive.
Can someone hate a laptop solely because of the touch pad

Summary: Can someone hate a laptop solely because of the touch pad? Yes. This one covers the buttons - so there are no buttons. You have to touch the left and right corners of the pad. Problem is the pad is really picky. It is also off center so when you look at the screen the pad is to the left. I find I have to repeatedly click the pad to execute one command. Pain in the #$@@! This is my fourth HP laptop. Loved the others, but this is a real disappointment.
Excerpt: Love my new computer, although as with any changes, is taking some time to get used to. Staples was great and sales associate was very helpful. Always get my computers at Staples, they are tops in customer service for computers!
Excerpt: Great speed and ease of use. Two issues: the HD does not interact with all websites - particularly Outlook - so it looks fuzzy and it cannot be made clear.. Work around by not using the tiles or the standard Email account but still fuzzy. The other oddity is the "1" gets stuck so need to have a very light touch for it. Mouse is sensitive as well so strongly suggest slowing the mouse speed via settings. Windows 8.1 - not a fan.
Summary: This is a great computer, for my needs. I do mainly excel & powepoint docs! Very eay to handle & love that it still has the cd tray, vga port, sd card port & 2 hdmi ports. I am finding these amenities aren't on most newer computers.
