Great machine if you know the differences of netbook, laptop, desktop parts

Summary: For an atom netbook this little thing does what is expected from it. An atom 1.6ghz single core netbook processor is on par with some older intel 1.2ghz single core desktop processors so performance is what is expected and overclocking is possible with stability (if you know what youre doing) upwards of 2.0ghz and upgrading the max RAM to 3gb makes for a very powerful netbook, especially with the ION LE gpu which can be upgraded to the ION to have even a little more...
The Hewlett Packard Mini 311 is definitely worth the money!
9 September 2012
Excerpt: The Hewlett Packard Mini 311 is worth the money. I recently went on a trip and instead of taking my regular sized laptop which is larger, I took the mini. It was small enough to fit in my carry-on and easy to take out whenever I needed it. The keyboard is smaller, of course, but you easily adjust.
Excerpt: I have owned this computer for about 6 months and have never had problems with it. I usually run at least three programs at once, one of them being Facebook and/or my email through AOL. I am always doing internet research and am always able to access the web through this little work horse.
Excerpt: First off let me say that battery life is amazing. It can last 6+ hours of light use of just surfing the internet. The only con I can think of is that it can really sutter when it comes to streaming videos. Videos off a hard drive work fine though, it just can't handle the processing, though I think it is because Flash isn't great on mobile devices to begin with. If you upgrade the ram to three gigabytes, it helps out the performance quite a lot. If you don't good luck.
Excerpt: So ... I bought this netbook when I got a job with a 1.5 hrs (each way) train commute, thinking it would help me put the time to good use, giving me flexibility and pretty much constant Internet access. I did so with lots of warnings from techie friends, who told me the netbook would move slowly, and so on. I figured that since I would pretty much only use it for light web-browsing and email, I'd be okay.

A HP netbook worth having especially if you want to watch HD
27 March 2010
Excerpt: "...this is a good choice. HP seem to have been on the ball with this one as it includes a HDMI port and not just a regular VGA port which is the staple on most netbooks. If gaming is your main priority, then a netbook isn't the choice you should make. That said, this netbook with let you play some new games although you will have to compromise by playing them at the lowest setting. Older games play work fine. If you have gaming in mind, consider a ...
