Anyone used the GPS feature on the Mini 210?

    Answered by mini210 2010-10-21:

I got a customized mini 210 + GPS, it comes with a TRIAL software for turn by turn navigation. The software is such a joke! If you zoom out twice so you can see where you are, you only see the large highways, and no streets! To search an address you need to enter first the state, then the city, then the street... LOL - all separately, and in most cases it can't find the exact street number after all this. I tried the navigation today. Retarded! I turned on a wrong street earlier just to see what happens - NOTHING - I drove something like two miles, and the arrow on the map was just stuck around the spot where I turned. Then after some time it turned on again and found me and told me about where to turn next. Then was stuck on the last traffic light where I stopped, and turned on when I were already at the designation. I have no idea more

GPS implementation in laptops are not as efficient as dedicated GPS units due to lack of sensors like digital compass, accelerometers etc. let alone trying to find a decent GPS software. Try this website: http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/
