List All 4 PricesAs a 16" HTPC, the HP HDX 16 sports all the features you'd want in a multimedia powerhouse. The 16" display is a flush glass 16:9 1920x1080 1080p HD ready spectacle of an LCD. Aside from that, the unit is stuffed with a P7350 Intel Core 2 Dup 2.0GHz, a 512MB Nvidia GeForce 9600M GPU, 4GB RAM, a 250GB HDD and of course a Blu-ray player. All this going along with an attractive titanium liquid metallic design means the HDX won't be the least expensive laptop on the block,... Read more
In essence, the HP HDX 16 seemed to live up to its billing as a semi-portable multimedia machine. At 7.3lbs it is somewhat heavy and with a width of 1.7” it’s not exactly compact, but the gorgeous 1920x1080 LCD is beautiful to watch Blu-ray discs on, and the glossy “titanium liquid metal” design looks as slick as it feels. Beyond that the HDX comes with some decent power under the hood, sporting an Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, 512MB nVidia GPU, and up to a 320GB... Read more
You’ve seen the second commercial from Microsoft’s Laptop Hunters series, right? You know, the one where G-diddy picks up the HP HDX 16 over a MacBook Pro. I won’t get into the PC vs Mac argument, but Giampaolo chose poorly because he didn’t know what he actually wanted. Read more
"Chic design and high end entertainment" – HP hasn't promised too much with this advertising slogan. Thanks to the Blu-Ray drive, full HD display, DVB-T TV tuner and a brilliant sound system , the HP HDX16 becomes a mobile multimedia workshop . Admittedly it is somewhat problematic when it comes to the mobility of the basic configuration. Barely 2 hours of battery life isn't convincing in this respect. Luckily the laptop is also available with a larger battery. The... Read more
Although the HP Pavilion HDX Entertainment Notebook PC was one of our favorite notebooks of 2007, its 20-inch, full-1080p display came at a price—namely that, at 15.8 pounds, it seemed more like a desktop than a laptop. Now HP has extended the HDX brand to more portable systems with an emphasis on style and multimedia power. The HDX 16 is one of two new HDX notebooks (the other is the 18.4-inch HDX 18) that offers excellent performance. But how much better is it than a... Read more
this notebook is great has a great processor and graphics card. It is fast and speakers sound great, the fingerprint reader is a plus and makes it easier to log on to sites. The battery life is short, about 2hrs on power saver and less than 1 on high performance but for what it has its worth it. Read more
We spent thousands on these HP laptops with their terrible design. After a year or so, the things began overheating and now the fans run continuously trying to cool down this very unhappy, noisy, unsatistyfing product and we have to keep hands off the keyboard all the time. Read more

I bought this laptop 3 months ago and I'm using it now , I have tried all what can this laptop offer such as TV over internet its speakers and all . For performance the Hdx16 performed well in normal use and in intensive use (blueray movies , games .. etc.) as well . My laptop has a 2.40 due 2 core which is better than the one in the review , so there is no problem in running video games in 1080p . However , the battery is really bad in most HP laptops and it gets really... Read more
