Summary: We've had our G72 for about 3 years now. ***Love*** the screen, big and bright. Batteries last "ok". (gotta run that big a** display...) Like the soft-clicky keyboard, which would be perfect IF the space bar didn't keep falling off!! (and we do not abuse our keyboard!) Speaking of the keyboard, bought this type model so we'd have the 10-key on the right, (I use it ALL the time.) and lots of real estate for wrists.
Summary: The service from Blinq and the price was awesome. For $300 ish dollars this is a great deal. However this PC has some definite issues. The pros are the hardware specs. The i3 processor, 7200rpm hard drive and the 17.3'' bright view display. Ethernet port and card reader. Comes with a dvd writer. Its got a robust feel. Its plastic build, but a good plastic build, it has a nice texture, so no smudge marks. The cons are, a s***ty, s***ty touch pad.
Summary: Ive had this laptop for several years and then it started to began to charge and discharge the battery, I thought I have it fixed on my own, but the problem continues to show up every few weeks.
Summary: I have had this computer for about two and a half years. It has been a great computer overall however the reason i am giving it 3 stars is because of the tremendous issues i have had with the equipment itself. Shortly after getting it i found that he fans were placed in terrible positions, anytime i have it sitting directly on a desk or surface that should allow for air flow my computer spontaneously decides to shut down and provides me with a temperature alert upon...
Summary: I have no idea what I was thinking of when I purchased this. Its a 17" monster and sucks battery. Its too late to write a meaningful review for anyone as its probably outdated now. The only thing it was brought for was the HDMI out, and that did its job, ironically with the 17" screen, I hardly needed it more than a couple of times a month.
Summary: This is not a bad laptop.....it's light, got a great size screen and I think can handle alot of applications...BUT the keyboard is too sensitive, whenever I start typing the cursor will end up on the top of the screen or to the right/left and always have to bring it back to the text that I am typing, unless I type very slow. But I am a fast typer as alot of other people and this appears to be a unique problem with this laptop.
All things considered, this laptop was a disappointment.

Summary: Don't get me going on this... wait, too late! This laptop WAS everything I thought I needed in a personal computer. 17+ inch LED display, 500GB HDD, 4GB Memory, and the clincher... 802.11b/g/draft n wireless card, WRONG! To begin with when I first checked it out at Staples, I did what everyone should do, check the Windows Performance Index!
Summary: The computer is ok. The programs I need to run on it work. I wish there were a few more usb ports. I use a usb mouse because the mousepad is not very user friendly. The main problem I have with it is Windows 7. Windows 7 will not work correctly unless you're connected to the internet. Funny how they don't mention that in all the technical details for the computer. Beware!
Summary: I purchased this notebook from Staples in Aug 2010. It's now Feb 2011 and the past month or so have had issues with the screen showing black when I am trying to boot up. When I try to boot up my computer I hear the windows music but then I can't see the screen to login. It also goes black sporadically when I'm logged in but appears to go back to normal pretty quickly so I have been ignoring this issue for a while.
