Summary: The service from Blinq and the price was awesome. For $300 ish dollars this is a great deal. However this PC has some definite issues. The pros are the hardware specs. The i3 processor, 7200rpm hard drive and the 17.3'' bright view display. Ethernet port and card reader. Comes with a dvd writer. Its got a robust feel. Its plastic build, but a good plastic build, it has a nice texture, so no smudge marks. The cons are, a s***ty, s***ty touch pad.
Summary: Ive had this laptop for several years and then it started to began to charge and discharge the battery, I thought I have it fixed on my own, but the problem continues to show up every few weeks.
Summary: I have had this computer for about two and a half years. It has been a great computer overall however the reason i am giving it 3 stars is because of the tremendous issues i have had with the equipment itself. Shortly after getting it i found that he fans were placed in terrible positions, anytime i have it sitting directly on a desk or surface that should allow for air flow my computer spontaneously decides to shut down and provides me with a temperature alert upon...
Excerpt: This is one of HP's budget laptops, and one of the few that runs the new Intel Core i3-370 M processing chip. It has 4 GB DDR3 memory and a 500 GB hard drive. It comes with integrated graphics. The processing speed and 4 GB memory is a huge plus for this laptop. It's pretty darn fast for a budget laptop.
Summary: I have no idea what I was thinking of when I purchased this. Its a 17" monster and sucks battery. Its too late to write a meaningful review for anyone as its probably outdated now. The only thing it was brought for was the HDMI out, and that did its job, ironically with the 17" screen, I hardly needed it more than a couple of times a month.
Summary: This is not a bad laptop.....it's light, got a great size screen and I think can handle alot of applications...BUT the keyboard is too sensitive, whenever I start typing the cursor will end up on the top of the screen or to the right/left and always have to bring it back to the text that I am typing, unless I type very slow. But I am a fast typer as alot of other people and this appears to be a unique problem with this laptop.
Summary: The computer is ok. The programs I need to run on it work. I wish there were a few more usb ports. I use a usb mouse because the mousepad is not very user friendly. The main problem I have with it is Windows 7. Windows 7 will not work correctly unless you're connected to the internet. Funny how they don't mention that in all the technical details for the computer. Beware!
Summary: I purchased this notebook from Staples in Aug 2010. It's now Feb 2011 and the past month or so have had issues with the screen showing black when I am trying to boot up. When I try to boot up my computer I hear the windows music but then I can't see the screen to login. It also goes black sporadically when I'm logged in but appears to go back to normal pretty quickly so I have been ignoring this issue for a while.
Overall OK. Sometimes network cable connection problem.

Summary: I bought this laptop in Dec 2010. Overall, I am happy with the product. The only problem so far is that the computer sometimes does not recognize the network cable connection, then I have to either restart the computer, or switch to wireless connection.
Summary: Edit August 2013: This laptop has been toast for months now, with the same problem as my previous HP laptop: a bad fan. Unfortunately, you can't replace the fan without ripping the entire laptop apart (I successfully did this with my old one, but it took many hours). I watched my laptop overheat more and more often until a mere flash video was enough to do it. I finally ditched it and built a very nice PC. In retrospect, this laptop only deserved 3-4 stars.
