Summary: I have had it for 3 years and it started giving my problems as soon as warranty was up. It is slow, the fan its very loud, the USB ports don't usually work, I have to take the battery out each time I turn it on, when I close the laptop instead of sleeping it shuts down, the scroll on the touch pad doesn't work, it is really heavy and hurts my back to carry around for school, using microsoft office gives it a head ache and won't work.
Summary: I bought this laptop because the price was right and because I loved the size of the screen. The picture is bright and the laptop worked great for the first year. After that, however, the laptop would periodically go into 'Thermal Shutdown'. Then it started happening more frequently. The machine would just shut itself off and you'd lose whatever you were working on. Upon reboot, you'd see the message about 'Thermal Shutdown.
Summary: I got this computer about a year and a half ago, and when I got it, it was a workhorse. It could handle whatever I cared to throw at it with relative ease, which was great. After a couple months, though, the battery life went from 5 hours to just under one, and then soon it would shut off within 10 seconds of being unplugged. I also had to get a cooling mat because it would overheat every couple hours.

Summary: After 1 1/2 years of moderate use, the backlight for the screen is shot. I guess this is a commom occurance since you can find tutorials on Youtube on how to replace the screens. (Not an easy looking repair btw). I have an HP printer that started printing poorly after it was a couple years old too. HP will not receive any more of our business.
Summary: This machine has problems. For a start the Intel 3-d card is near useless, any 3-d games you may run on it will cause the system to overheat & lock up within 30-40 minutes. I went out of my way to find a machine that didnt have the intel video card (like the 15" version of this same notebook) because intel 3-d cards are not really 3-d cards. Unfortunately i believed the salesman when he told me that this one was configured the same as the 15" model on display...
Summary: I got this one as a gift from my uncle. For a month or so I was happy with this. I was satisfied with the big screen and its visual clarity. There was an electrical problem which caused the system randomly shutdown and I had to lose some of my data. The system runs too hot while using and the power chord has broken.
