Review HP G62-130EG Notebook

Notebookcheck
20 July 2010
  • Summary: Budget laptop. One Intel core processor please, with a side-order of ATI graphics and a high-speed hard drive. It sounds like a laptop that many people would like to get their hands on. At €565, the 15.6-inch all-rounder from HP could be just what they’re looking for.
  • Pros: Solid, hardwearing case, Fast hard drive, Low system noise, Decent keyboard, Good sound quality from the speakers, The very durable lid surface. Is this the start of a new approach?
  • Cons: Poor graphics performance, Glossy display with low contrast, No number pad, Touchpad buttons don’t depress very far

  • Cons: Screen has narrow viewing angles, screen too glossy, touchpad feels the same as the palmrest, touchpad buttons are hard to press, initial setup was not smooth
