Summary: I purchased this computer in 2009 (4+) years ago. I am not going to buy this PC in the future and neither is anyone else. But as I read the reviews (most from 2009/2010) I feel like there is no middle ground, everyone either hates it or loves it. So I am going to give my opinion (from 2014) regarding the time that I had it. I bought it in 2009 and used it until 2012. For 3+ years this PC served me beyond well, but not without a few headaches.
Excerpt: I love the larger sized screen, graphics are incredible! After some initial hard drive malfunctions (which HP supplied an entirely brand new HD) this notebook is exceedingly fast, smooth, slick and makes portable computing an enjoyment, I would recommend this notebook to every pc user.
Include security and at least MS Office software, no trials!

Excerpt: My HP runs fairly well with limited interuptions. Some security issues and Operational flaws with certain applications. Although my laptop was priced very low online, it should, at the very least, included Norton security and MS office installed and not on a trial basis where a user must later purchase.
Excerpt: I have a love/hate relationship with my HP G60-120US laptop. With its integraded webcam and mic, 3gb memory, 250gb hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G graphics card, and 2.00GHz AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-70 processor, all on running Windows Vista Home Premium, and only $700, its a great laptop. Ive had it for about a year and a half now, and its been broken twice. One time the screen just went black and didnt work.
By far one of the best if not THE BEST laptop for the money

Excerpt: As an owner of an HP G60-230US Notebook PC, I can honestly say that I believe that I could not have purchased a better laptop for all of my on and offline activities. I also have a great Desktop PC which is my main computer which I use in my home office and contains more of my music, photo and media files, but since I became an owner of this laptop I feel as though I would be lost without it now.
Excerpt: Had a Toshiba before buying this HP. The Toshiba served us for over 7 years which is way past the lifespan of a laptop. It had been dropped, stepped on etc. and doesn't even have a battlescar on it! The new HP on the other hand had a little fall from a small pile of clothes to the floor (not even a 6 inch drop!) and it was damaged goods!
Excerpt: My review is about a HP Laptop that we bought a couple months ago. This PC is very usefull and it helps my kids with their homework. My kids like to spend time in the computer and figure out more about the computer. This computer has help my family including myself and also all the computers help alot of people in the world. I use this computer to make my payments, shop, ect. and there is alot more. Having a HP Laptop is a very helpful instrument in life.
Excerpt: This is my first experiance with a laptop. While it does not have the power of my desktop is is powerful enough to do all of the things that my desktop can do just not as fast. The ease of mobilty is what I find most helpful. To be able to do work anywhere is a big help for me. Because I am very busy and have to travel it is a great help to have a laptop. I have been a hp user for some years and I am a big fan.
Excerpt: Here is my experience with the new HP laptop G60t I purchased The deliveryman from Target arrived three days after payment was organised, on schedule as promised. A large rectangular box beckoned, and once armed with coffee and fags, the sounds of slicing parcel tape filled the sitting room.
Excerpt: I work from home, 100% online, so when my computer crashed last year--at a tremendously inopportune time, financially speaking--I was in a tight spot, to say the least. I ended up purchasing the HP G60 based solely on its Black Friday price. Since then, I have been pleasantly surprised with its performance. It runs well, is reliable, and does all the basic things I need it to do.
