Summary: The seller misrepresented the Laptop and priced it knowing that the DVD player was damaged and NOT the correct DVD so it stuck out cause it didn't fit. I bought this fro a customer and after a few mo's of normal usage, the screen started rolling (which was a video card or motherboard flaw). I would NOT buy anything from this seller. Granted this model of HP has flaws, but more importantly - the seller will take advantage of you as a buyer.
Summary: Running Win 7, Chrome, optimized and all crapware removed, this thing doesn't play more than one episode of Netflix without lagging out. This is possibly the worst machine I have ever used, in terms of meeting expectations. It is less useful than a netbook. Get out of computers, HP, you're drunk.
Summary: After using this HP laptop G60 for a year or so, the fan makes this loud noise, its louder then the fridges we have here. I have a lenovo that is has been on for 3 years straight and its so quite you cant even tell its on when its running at full capacity and these laptops cost the same. Buyers be aware! HPs are terrible laptops, Im a laptop enthusiast and love laptops, I own several from alienware to the lenovo i mentioned above.
Summary: I wouldn't buy this laptop unless you like frozen screens, and a battery that dies after limited use (maybe an hour). Acted so weird I had to do a system recovery on it. Still acts weird - have to remove the battery/and re insert it when the screen freezes(goes black) and then it will reboot. Unsure if this is in part due to the Windows Vista that it has on it? I inherited this when my mother in law passed away......I sure wouldn't have been happy if I bought this thing.
Summary: HP has been the worst experience with me. I have already replaced battery of this laptop and that of other HP laptop by now. They ship with cheap batteries.. Also the DVD of this machine is not working anymore....I am NOT buying HP anymore and don't recommend anyone either. The battery of Dell laptop which I purchased for my wife is working perfect till now. Whatever you buy, stay away from HP.
Summary: My G60 440US ran great right out of the box. After about 10 months I started getting warning messages that my battery was failing. Got a new battery, everything was fine and then one morning shortly thereafter, nothing. Before you buy this machine research online the problems others have had with it. The most common complaint by far is that it won't boot up.
Summary: Do not purchase this item, look elsewhere. If you are the type that only uses a laptop to surf the internet or check e-mail and nothing else then it might be a suitable option, but for all the features it has, it is pretty useless. You will incur problems, it overheats too fast, the hard drive and system board equipped in this laptop are not very stable, be prepared to send your laptop out for multiple trips to repair shops if you buy it.
Summary: HP G0 Notebook Bought this 30 days ago from Staples. This product has been a great disappointment. Nothing works properly and never did. Sometimes it won't start at all, it is overloaded with junk programs you don't want or need. The mouse and buttons are too sensitive. This morning it died. Probably the worst piece of junk I've ever bought in my life. Beginning to think the HP name is garbage.
Summary: I bought the HP G60-630us and returned it a few days later. It has one HUGE and fatal flaw: the built-in microphone is EXTREMELY bad. If you are absolutely sure you will never want to use this laptop for anything involving the microphone (like video chat) then you will probably be happy with this purchase. But if there is a sliver of a chance you'll want to use the microphone at some point, then AVOID, AVOID AVOID. I was happy with this model the first few days I had it.
