Summary: Exactly what I needed. HIgh quality laptop with seemingly good build and great design. Possibly the best keyboard (backlit) on a laptop out there. Only complaint is that the SD Card reader is not working; I don't use the card reader often enough to really care and have a USB card reader for the once in 6 months I need it. Highly recommended... but if anyone from Amazon or Hewlett-Packard read this, please get at me for fixing the SD Card Reader...
Summary: I travel frequently, and this laptop has proved to be wonderful. If you are comfortable with a 13" screen, and don't need a large hard drive or DVD drive, this is an excellent machine. However, it should be noted that the 9 hour battery life cited is a serious exaggeration. I typically use the laptop to watch movies on long flights. Six hours, maybe, is closer to the truth.
Summary: I paid $332 for this shipped from buy(dot)com in 10/2013. I'd buy it all over again and that's really what you want to know. I also work in IT so I am rather familiar with what's out there and the best bang for the buck whether my money or my company's.
Pros: 1) Super slim and light – easy to carry
Cons: No user replaceable battery, 128 GB SSD drive is kind of puny but it is super fast. Plan on an external USB or USB thumb drive for extra capacity if needed. Only 70 GB free of 128 GB once you turn it on.
Great Business Winning Ultrabook, MacBook Air Killer, Best Ultrabook So Far
29 June 2013
Summary: This is HP Folio 13 the best Ultrabook, compared to all other brands of Ultrabook. Why is this is so good and why it's getting so many glowing reviews, an average of 4.8 stars out of 5 stars? This is why: 1. Windows 7 Professional. It's not Windows 7 Home or Windows 8 (which is horrible to run software or do usual business tasks).
Summary: Excellent product for the money. I have been a strong believer of refurbished tech for many years. Especially HP and Toshiba. Not only can you get your hands on some great tech for almost half the price, you get the same warranty as new and you KNOW the manufacturer has tested the snot out of every component.
Summary: This is a elegant and gorgeous laptop. Apple made an air and that was an astonishment. Eversoyone was busy following the footsteps of apple, even Intel invested heavily in ultrabook market and aided the company who were developing ultrabook just to be a apple one want be. But HP did excellent job creating their own style. This laptop is distinguished from Apple's Air yet it is equally beautiful in a way. I love this laptop. And how fast is this laptop, it is good for me.
Summary: It's light, thin, quick to startup, snappy performance in use. It would be nice if it had a VGA out, and I add a wireless mouse since I'm not crazy about touchpads, that's about the only slightly negative things I can think of.
Summary: This is a great little laptop that's very quick and portable. I put Crunchbang Linux on it and it boots in a few seconds. The only problems I've had with it are that when it first boots to Linux, the very first time, right after it's been installed, it boots with the screen brightness at 0 so I had to manually change it. Also, I find the directional buttons to be a bit small for quick use. Otherwise, great buy!
