Amazing 2/3 years ago, but there are MUCH MUCH better options out there for the same price. Don't buy, keep looking.

Summary: The folio 13 was great when i bought it in 2012, but now, not so much. There are so many better options out there for laptops and notebooks; New technology, updated intel cores, graphics cards, etc. This was HP's first line of Solid-State drives (SSD for short) (SSD's operate at higher speeds but (for now) cost more) There have been many improvements on the technology.
Reinstallation required for all software due to major issues; Once corrected, the computer is great...took over a week to fix

Summary: When I received the computer nothing was working properly. I had to uninstall every software that was set up. I had to factory reset everything and load a wireless program. I had to hire an IT expert to assist in correcting all the issues that were on this PC. I'm not sure what the set up of this computer was because when I received the computer it has "Hunger Games" and "District 12" etched into the laptop cover.
Summary: Exactly what I needed. HIgh quality laptop with seemingly good build and great design. Possibly the best keyboard (backlit) on a laptop out there. Only complaint is that the SD Card reader is not working; I don't use the card reader often enough to really care and have a USB card reader for the once in 6 months I need it. Highly recommended... but if anyone from Amazon or Hewlett-Packard read this, please get at me for fixing the SD Card Reader...
Summary: I was expecting very much from this laptop, having in mind the fact tat its price is not what you could call cheap. Unfortunately, it is build of cheap materials and it is very slow. From time to time I work with Photoshop. I am not a Power User, therefore I don't need a powerful workstation for this application. My old Dell was doing a very good job here.
Summary: I was initially afraid to buy a refurbished computer, but when mine died, I didn't have much choice. This computer arrived quickly, exactly as promised. I was encouraged to buy from this company because of their warranty, I have heard horror stories of peole buying used/refurbished computers and found they didn't work. Well this one is perfect, and I will absolutely buy their 2 year warrranty.
Summary: After my old Macbook went to the big Apple Store in the Sky, I decided to switch over to a PC. I purchased a used HP Folio 13 in December 2012; the first owner had had it for six months and used it lightly during that time. This owner installed Windows 8, which I've been using happily. I upgraded to 8.1 when that came out, a transition that went smoothly. Many people have a beef with Windows 8 as an OS, but it certainly doesn't trouble this computer to run it.
Summary: I travel frequently, and this laptop has proved to be wonderful. If you are comfortable with a 13" screen, and don't need a large hard drive or DVD drive, this is an excellent machine. However, it should be noted that the 9 hour battery life cited is a serious exaggeration. I typically use the laptop to watch movies on long flights. Six hours, maybe, is closer to the truth.
Summary: Great laptop. I initially bought this JUST for travel. However over the past few months this has become my main PC. I am a fairly straight forward PC user: Office, Outlook, Web, some other exotic programs but thats about it - and Media. Excellent battery life. Very light, not as light as the samsung comprable, but this as opposed to the samsung series 9 has a better keyboard and wifi (my colleague has the Samsung).
Summary: I have never had such an awful experience with an online purchase. I bought this computer about a month ago and about a week after receiving it I opened the laptop and a black crack appeared on the LCD and the screen went to static. I took it into a specialist to get a diagnosis and he told me that the original LCD had been replaced with a cheaper, flimsier version and that such damage was really inevitable.
