Summary: Please your help, I happen to use my laptop in a cafe, the following I discovered that I was hit my a serious virus that affected all my files. Yesterday, I formatted the entire drive and install Windows 8.1 that came with the laptop. I am struck in the activation process. Can you help me with the activation key that came with the operating system on my laptop? I have to use the laptop in class tomorrow. Thank you.
Summary: At first, I loved this computer. It was blazing fast, it was sleek, and the touchscreen worked like a charm. It had all the ports I needed, including 3 USBs and an HDMI. My old HP laptop, which I had bought 6 years earlier was still running like a tank. I was singing HP's praises to anyone who would listen. Then the hardware problems started. First, there was a spot on the touchscreen that would click at random when I was nowhere near that place on the screen.
Summary: I go to school for design, it's perfect. This was recommended by a classmate, it was recommended to her by her brother, which he uses for his engineering major. Not until I got a virus on it, that realize I got an EXCELLENT deal, the tech guy says it's worth at least $1000~1200 in stores. Totally a steal!!!
Summary: This is a review for the HP Envy 15-k016nr. A 15" touch-screen laptop with BeatsAudio. I have just one complaint about this laptop (palm strikes), and it's non-trivial, but I love it so much I couldn't bring myself to dock a star. I've been having a whale of a time using it with Linux Mint 17, and it's a great addition to my home office. First off, this machine comes pre-installed with Windows 8.1.

Summary: do not buy any of the HP envy line they are all reported to be having overheating issues and HP is doing nothing to fix them. I bought this laptop and after 6 months started having overheating issues every time I would try and play a game it would black out and shutdown with the bios detected an overheating ..... 90D. Had heat sink and fan cleaned the tech said it wast very dirty some dust but mostly I looked new.
Summary: I have been using this laptop for about a year. I am a full time student so it gets a lot of use. This one is running Windows 8 not 8.1. After I had this for 6 months I upgraded the memory to 12 Gigs, 4 Gigs is just not enough for Windows 8. The 4 gigs work but when you really are using it buy running several programs, such as power point, word, and surfing for information it got pretty slow. With 12 Gigs that went away.
