Summary: Bought this not from Amazon but from Ebay Pros 1. very sharp screen. 3200*1800 is just amazing; feel like I am watching a living picture. personally I think it's better than a macbook with the same screen size 2. touchscreen is sensitive (might be bad for those not familiar with this, as it makes the laptop heavier) 3. quite fast. not super fast, but due to SSD, it's way faster than HDD laptop or 'ultrabook'. 4. design is simple and clean, but it reminds me of apple mac.
Summary: I like it, it is nice but it took a while before I got used to the touch screen, and I still have to get used to windows 8 and find where every thing is since it is way different than windows 7. One thing that I DO NOT like at all is when I am doing something on the desktop, it will automaticly switch to different app on the computer such as I am typing on word, then it will swtich to Skype, with out me doing it.
Summary: I'm very satisfied with this HP Envy. Even slimmer than an Apple Macbook and cost alot less. Very powerful laptop and indeed very nice to carry around. It can be a little noisy at times, when I run a few programs, perhaps they are heavy on the hardware inside. The fan often kicks off but it slows down really quickly as well. The good thing is it doesn't heat up like many other laptops. The material used and its design are very attractive.
Summary: Although I did not purchase off Amazon, but rather at Sam's club, I figured I would write a review. I purchased this computer back in August of 2013, and so far, it has not slowed down one bit. I use it everyday for law school, and it has been very reliable. My old HP was heavy and was getting a little slow, but nothing else was wrong with it - which is why I chose another HP.
Perfect! 90% used on my lap in the bed. Even at night.

Summary: Very happy with this computer. Much lighter than what I previously had. Overall performance is great. I would definitely recommend this computer with the i5 CORE processor.
Pros: Light weight, keyboard lights up for night time use not to disturb the wife. Hp CoolSense keeps it running cooler than most, but I use a tilted cooling pad anyway. I also use a flex fan over the power button. The left side gets warm.
Cons: The touch screen is too sensitive on the right side to where as the function screen will pop out too often. Lately I have been having my screen freezing. Not sure why yet. The external Beats speakers sound HORRIBLE!
Love Hate relationship (1st impressions) But better now

Summary: These are my first impressions and I will update this review as I use the laptop more. I like this but at times I want to throw it on the floor and stamp on it. To be fair that is not all HP's fault but the interface between this laptop and Windows 8. EDIT: I have cured my Windows problem by disabling edge swipe and now I like Windows 8 mainly for its lightning fast boot up speed.
