Summary: I bought this from a certain auction site and felt that I should post an unbiased review of it. I thought that some of the reviews were unfair, especially when some of them were criticizing the operating system (Windows 8) and not the actual laptop.
Summary: Once the correct item arrived (first was not 4G model) I have been pleased with purchase and performance. Have had no screen issues, colors have been great, the only issue I can really be critical on is the WiFi adapter.
Summary: My first laptop was one of the old dell inspirons, you know, the ones from the lollipop commercials, and this was a massive step up. That one lasted me two years before it got so slow and broken in some places that I had to toss it.
Pros: good size/weight, fairly fast, lasting me a while, great touch screen, backlit keeyboard
Cons: touchpad in an awkward place for typing, slow/spazzy internet,
Summary: First off, I am a current college student studying computer engineering, so I know a decent amount about computer hardware and software. I want to state that I truly enjoy this laptop. It makes for an excellent machine for a college student.
Summary: excellent laptop, touch screen makes it shine, though found the screen cracked after using the laptop for about 2months, now touch screen doesn't work any more. don't know if hp will repair it under warranty cos am not in the usa.
Summary: The laptop it'self is great the performance is good Windows 8 RULES. The battery life is basically one full day use. I used it all day basically from watching youtube, movies, surfing the web and playing games and it lasted me almost the whole day.
Summary: I bought this laptop under the impression that it would last me a very long time, has a long battery life, and is great for school. In less than one month, I've had the touch screen stop working and had to get it fixed, I've had the operating system stop working, apps crashing, internet not working...
Summary: I like it, it is nice but it took a while before I got used to the touch screen, and I still have to get used to windows 8 and find where every thing is since it is way different than windows 7.
Summary: This the first Ultrabook that I have purchased. I specked the 14 in screen because I travel and wanted a size compatible for traveling. I am replacing a 13 in laptop, this screen was too small as I got older.
