Summary: I bought this from a certain auction site and felt that I should post an unbiased review of it. I thought that some of the reviews were unfair, especially when some of them were criticizing the operating system (Windows 8) and not the actual laptop.
Summary: I bought a previous incarnation with Windows 8.0 installed. After updating to 8.1, sleep mode never worked again. My video game development app had graphics problems. HP never fixed any of these issues. HP has a bad rep in my circles. Now after 2 years, the touch screen stopped working.
Summary: I had to return the first shipped laptop because of some hardware issues; got a new one right back (after paying 40$ on shipping) but then the laptop I got was even worse. Stall for several hours, trying to reboot multiple times, it would not start all time. Just a matter of luck to get to run.
Summary: I love sleekbooks, they look stylish and modern. The aluminum feels sturdy and the overall build is very high quality. The laptop itself is surprisingly light. I prefer laptops without an optical drive, so no problems there. I'm a big fan of the i5 processor.
Summary: Excellent laptop for the price. Keyboard is excellent, screen is marvellous and touchpad is more or less the same as other laptops. The yellow mustard color is noticeable but you can deal with that (unless you are a graphic designer) but the 3200x1800 IPS for 670 dollars is simple amazing.
Summary: Once the correct item arrived (first was not 4G model) I have been pleased with purchase and performance. Have had no screen issues, colors have been great, the only issue I can really be critical on is the WiFi adapter.
Summary: I've had this laptop for about a year and I really like it. I'm just posting this review to warn people that changing the screen orientation on this device is impossible. That feature is either not implemented or blocked in the firmware.
Summary: I've had this computer two years, and it was ok for the first 1/3 of my ownership, but it has become increasingly buggy, slow, and hard to use. The battery life has been cut in half, it dies on me at random, and also the entire computer crashes if a game is running while goggle chrome is running.
Pros: touchscreen, sleek start screen
Cons: laggy playing games and using internet, poor battery, buggy
