Summary: Once the correct item arrived (first was not 4G model) I have been pleased with purchase and performance. Have had no screen issues, colors have been great, the only issue I can really be critical on is the WiFi adapter. On initial setup connected to our WiFi network OK but speed was .75 (yes that's .75 not 7.5!), other devices were fine.
Summary: I've had this computer two years, and it was ok for the first 1/3 of my ownership, but it has become increasingly buggy, slow, and hard to use. The battery life has been cut in half, it dies on me at random, and also the entire computer crashes if a game is running while goggle chrome is running. There hasn't been day this year where if I've had to turn it on, it doesn't immediately go to the blue 'select language and support' screen. Today alone it happened three times.
Pros: touchscreen, sleek start screen
Cons: laggy playing games and using internet, poor battery, buggy
Summary: So, I bought this laptop for college/university and I am absolutely in love with it. It has a decent battery life as long as you're not overloading it, which is understandable. It is also pretty light and it runs my video games pretty well! The touch-screen is handy and the memory size is really good. Also, it turns on and off pretty quickly for a computer that doesn't have an SSD. Overall, I love this laptop!
Summary: My first laptop was one of the old dell inspirons, you know, the ones from the lollipop commercials, and this was a massive step up. That one lasted me two years before it got so slow and broken in some places that I had to toss it. This Christmas will mark my third year anniversary with the Envy, though, and I plan on keeping it for at least another year. It's still whole, still works fast.
Pros: good size/weight, fairly fast, lasting me a while, great touch screen, backlit keeyboard
Cons: touchpad in an awkward place for typing, slow/spazzy internet,
Summary: I purchased this laptop as well as a very similar 15" one for my wife and I. I'm happy with my 15" and I can't stand the 14". They really dropped the ball with the smaller screen & the biggest issue is the screen itself. It's max resolution is 1280x960!! That's less than my phone. It also is completely useless because the screen has no color. My wife and I are photographers and purchased these laptops to edit images. My 15" works great.
Summary: First off, I am a current college student studying computer engineering, so I know a decent amount about computer hardware and software. I want to state that I truly enjoy this laptop. It makes for an excellent machine for a college student. I bought this for about $625, which is an absolute steal for the solid hardware in this laptop.
Summary: excellent laptop, touch screen makes it shine, though found the screen cracked after using the laptop for about 2months, now touch screen doesn't work any more. don't know if hp will repair it under warranty cos am not in the usa. cons: the usb ports on the left side are positioned too close together, thus if your usb device is fat, it wouldn't fit.
