Summary: I just purchased one of these from another vendor, not Amazon. I got a heck of a deal, getting it brand new for under $400. It arrived in a distressed box, which I was aware of at the time of the purchase. I did purchase a 1TB SSD drive and 16GB of ram from Amazon for it. Would I buy this lapop again? Absolutely! This thing screams now and it was pretty fast prior to the upgrades.
Hands down this is the best laptop for the money I could find after weeks of shopping and comparing.

Summary: This thing has everything that you could ever ask for in a mainstream/entertainment laptop. It plays videos and games at full 1080p via a VGA or HDMI connection to my 40" HD TV without a single studder. The audio is outstanding through the onboard speakers, add a simple set of 2.1 speakers connected through the headphone jack and it literally shakes the floor. USB 3.0, wireless N, 750 GB of internal storage, 6GB DDR3 SDRAM (upgradeable to 16GB).

Summary: I bought this laptop on sale at Best Buy about six months ago. My old desktop PC was dying, and I decided to go with a single computer for both home use and travel. The HP Envy M6 had the specs I wanted, and even though I didn't want Windows 8, I'm learning to use it. So far, it's been a great computer, except for one serious problem - the screen failed after only a few weeks. Since the laptop was still under warranty, I took it to Best Buy, and they returned it to HP.
