Summary: fast, reliable, hp, intel, no problems, and it looks pretty too . for under 500 bucks can't beat it..only weakness; audio weak, sounds tinny one would think with todays technology they could improve in that area
Summary: Bought my first HP Envy with Windows 7 in November 2012, which lasted a month before bogging down when I was typing an email. It kept getting hung up on the letters I was typing until finally locking up completely. After hard restarting, could not get past the initial load screen. Took it back to where I bought it and exchanged for the same model with Windows 8. Got it home and started it up, and was immediately greeted by a frozen pixel in the middle of the screen.
Summary: I purchased this computer as a gift after first buying an Asus. After problems with the Asus, this was the first choice for the recipient and they have nothing but praise for this computer. Based on their assessment, I would highly recommend it. Ordering, shipping and packaging were definitely a thumbs up as well.
Summary: I've been using this amazing computer for 30 days. I bought two of them. One I upgraded to 16gb. I've read other post from Best Buy, that complaint about computer having problems connecting at times to websites, emails etc etc. I have the same problem. I have another HP icord 5 8gb and connects without stalling. Is there a fix for this? Please address where what you may think is wrong. Otherwise I will have to return both of them.
Excerpt: "I bought this laptop because the Toshiba I had previously was getting old, and I wanted to upgrade to more memory/power. The laptop has a quick startup and is clean and sleek. The keyboard is very easy to use and there is a separate number pad. Of course, it also comes with Windows 8, which at first can be a challenge to use. The truth is that I don't think Windows 8 did much to improve the laptop experience the way the creators were hoping, but ...
Summary: I gave myself one week before writing a review to get a feel for the laptop. PROS -The laptop actually comes with 8GB RAM despite what amazon states. So that's a bonus! -I also upgraded the HDD to a SSD for a performance boost, and I have to say this laptop runs flawlessly. It's very quick especially with the A8 Quad-core processor. -So far I've only managed to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN and SKYRIM on it.
Summary: The majority of time spent is on my laptop and tend to stay with the HP products. I like the size and various products to choose from. I actually have two write now. One I bought for the speed and the other I use for my business which that computer has more space than speed, by my own choice. Overall, I am happy with this brand of computer for whichever use I need it for. On a side note, not too happy with the Windows 8 software.
