Buying refurbished is a great value!

xwbihcflx1969, Ebay

  • Summary: I bought this for my wife and she loves the beats audio with the subwoofer and 4 speakers. The performance is great and she hasn't had any problems with the software either. Having said that their is the lack of a numlock light to tell when it is on when entering your pin to wake up the computer. It initially made her VERY mad until I explained that we got a $750 laptop for under $450 and besides, she could just press the numlock key prior to entering her pin.

  • Summary: I like everything about it, except that it is slow and the buttons and key pads are too stiff for a comfortable use.

Good Laptop for the Price

Arinthros, Amazon
12 March 2014
  • Summary: Overall a great laptop for the price. Good specs, just comes with Windows 8. Really hard to find drivers for Windows 7 on this laptop. Was looking to replace the keyboard with a backlit one, but sadly no LED headers on the mobo. Pros: Fast processor & memory. Easy to install new hard drive & ram. Biometric Fingerprint Scanner. Webcam. Cons: Not 1080p. Windows 8. Not backlit keyboard, & not upgradable. A little on the heavy side for notebooks nowadays.

Good laptop

James Williams, Amazon
2 January 2014
  • Summary: I love this laptop. Does everything I needed it to do. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it comes with windows 8. I wiped the hard drive and put windows 7 on. You will run into problems doing this. The keyboard, usb, and network (wifi or wired) connections won't work. Track down the drivers for these first and burn them on a cd. After you get that done this puppy will cruise right along.

Not the best, but ahead of its competitors.

  • Summary: I use it for gaming and Pro Tools mostly. Never had a problem with it other then the keyboard. The keyboard isn't built to last, but for the RAM and the A10 processor it's a steal.

  • Summary: little disappointed by the 5400RPM HDD that it came with, was easily fixed by an SSD
  • Pros: Fast,
  • Cons: I know the warranty is probably gone by now, but it tend to get hot, 65C when on idle, probably just a laptop thing, idk.

Nice Notebook

Eddie, Amazon
26 October 2013
  • Summary: Fast shipping, overall great notebook. The only 2 complaint's I have is the screen; which tends to blur out if you're not looking at it dead on. Also, the built in camera really sucks (the picture is really bad). Other than that I really like the fingerprint reader, makes logging in/unlocking a lot faster. Windows 8 is a little confusing without the start button, but is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Nice Laptop

Martin, Newegg
30 July 2013
  • Summary: I put 4/5 just because of windows 8 and the trouble it took to remove it. I guess if you love windows 8, this would be very nice out of the box.
  • Pros: We bought this laptop for my spouse for school. She wanted something with a full keyboard, which this one has. She also needed something with a decent dedicated video card and a fast processor. It's fast, it's pretty and it should last a while.
  • Cons: Would have preferred an SSD, even if just a cache ssd, but for the price I can't complain.

  • Summary: Very pleased with this laptop. If you go with the upgraded memory, this thing will fly.. I highly recommend this laptop because of its performance and looks.
  • Pros: Pros - Nice finish, good value for the money, numpad
  • Cons: Cons - Charging error (a hassle more than a limitation)

Overall good laptop

Ken, Newegg
9 July 2013
  • Summary: Swapped out the stock 750GB 5400rpm HDD for a 256GB SATA III SSD (Corsair Neutron Series), which has speed the computer up considerably.
  • Pros: Handles the tasks I throw at it quick and easily, crisp clear screen, boots up and shuts down quickly. The price was good.
  • Cons: Windows 8 takes some getting used to, slow hard drive speed (5400 rpm), the typical bloatware that comes with such OEM machines
