Not the best, but ahead of its competitors.

  • Summary: I use it for gaming and Pro Tools mostly. Never had a problem with it other then the keyboard. The keyboard isn't built to last, but for the RAM and the A10 processor it's a steal.

Kerry F., Newegg
11 November 2013
  • Summary: little disappointed by the 5400RPM HDD that it came with, was easily fixed by an SSD

  • Cons: I know the warranty is probably gone by now, but it tend to get hot, 65C when on idle, probably just a laptop thing, idk.

  • Summary: Bought this laptop almost a year ago. I bought it for the 3rd Generation I7 Quad core processor, the larger hard drive and 6gb ddr3 Ram. I like making videos and after installing Adobe Premiere Elements 11 and trying out some HD editing, I was impressed.

Nice Laptop

Martin R., Newegg
30 July 2013
  • Summary: I put 4/5 just because of windows 8 and the trouble it took to remove it. I guess if you love windows 8, this would be very nice out of the box. It's a refurbished item and the only esthetic issues with it are a few dents on the cover, noticeable under the right angle and light.
  • Pros: We bought this laptop for my spouse for school. She wanted something with a full keyboard, which this one has. She also needed something with a decent dedicated video card and a fast processor. It's fast, it's pretty and it should last a while. The keyboard is nice and doesn't flex. The keys are ...
  • Cons: Would have preferred an SSD, even if just a cache ssd, but for the price I can't complain. The power plug goes in on the right, where your hand with a usb mouse is. Depending on how close you are to the laptop with the mouse and how much room you have to wiggle the mouse, it could be an issue. Re...

Overall good laptop

Kenneth R., Newegg
9 July 2013
  • Summary: Swapped out the stock 750GB 5400rpm HDD for a 256GB SATA III SSD (Corsair Neutron Series), which has speed the computer up considerably.
  • Pros: Handles the tasks I throw at it quick and easily, crisp clear screen, boots up and shuts down quickly. The price was good.
  • Cons: Windows 8 takes some getting used to, slow hard drive speed (5400 rpm), the typical bloatware that comes with such OEM machines

Great Staples Sale!

Shannon, Staples
3 July 2013
  • Excerpt: I enjopy how light the computer is. It is a great feature they placed the computer fan on the side of the machine instead of the bottom. I do not prefer windows 8, as it is trickky to navigate; but I am getting used to it. The battery is supposed to be 5 hours, but it is losing charge way to fast.
  • Pros: Durable, Good Value, Necessary Ports, Professional Weight, Sharp Tones & Colors
  • Cons: Poor Battery life, Windows 8

  • Summary: I really like this pc, is my first computer actually mine. The only complain that I have is that many times is slow. I have read that it could be thanks to the amd A8 cpu, but than is after 8 months of extremely hard work.

Very good for the price (but some flaws)

Allison K., Newegg
1 July 2013
  • Pros: This was extremely affordable for a really great computer with a strong processor and many upgrades, from the Blu-ray to the Beats audio system. The product came as advertised and arrived on time.
  • Cons: The mouse jumps around *all the time* and I had to install a separate program (TouchFreeze) to try to get that under control while I was typing. The touchpad itself is a bit annoying, at least compared to what I'm used to, as the mouse buttons are quite hard so you have to press down with some fo...

Great laptop, questionable build quality.

Chris, Amazon
1 July 2013
  • Summary: I really love this laptop. It has great hardware, which is the reason I bought it. It has a powerful processor, great graphics card, blu ray player, and a full HD 1080p screen. I don't give it five stars because of the build quality.
