Summary: This HP Envy puts touch into a standard ultrabook, a welcome change that won't force users too far outside of their comfort-zone. Pros: + Comes with Windows 8. + Intel Core i5-3317U processor. + Beats Audio. Cons: - Hinges too wobbly for touch.
Worked beautifully at first, but then major keyboard and mouse problems started cropping up

Summary: The first year with this laptop went really smoothly 2012 - 2013). The laptop was fast at booting up - worked like a true ultrabook - ran programs quickly, beautiful audio, great at multitasking and it has features that are just great including backlit keyboard and more.
Summary: Avoid this computer at all costs!!! It has been a hunk of garbage since I got it! I got it for college May 2013 and have had it in the shop 3 times already. It is a very unreliable computer and the touchscreen is annoying and files things when you don't want it to. I wish i bought a mac.
Summary: I am loving my HP Envy Ultrabook 1030. It's light weight and very easy to transport. The picture and clarity is brilliant, and I am enjoying the backlit keyboard, I can type in any type of lighting. I recommend everyone go pick them up one. They won't regret it.
Summary: Granted, I paid much less for it than the currently listed price (I paid less than $600 and got a $100 gift card from Amazon due to a promo they were having), it is much more worth the price to me than it would be to someone who buys it now.
Summary: Obviously many people here have problems with wi-fi connection on this computer after 6 months of using. So do i, after re installing drivers and trying to solve this problem, i gave up as the problem is computer itself, now i just have to wait until it dies and buy a new NOT HP laptop.
Summary: So far, I really like this laptop. It boots incredibly fast and gets me back up working in no time. The processor installs all my programs much faster than my previous desktop PC, which had an Athlon II X4 640.
