Summary: I bought this laptop because it has a combination of the features I want, and the things that excite me. It has the good sound that the Beats Audio speakers give, which I fell in love with from my last laptop, and it has a gorgeous, incredible graphics display that runs even the most demanding games I play with no trouble at all.
Summary: It looks nice but has problems PROS: Screen is good size and good resolution Backlit keyboard makes work in low brightness areas easier Touchpad seems to accept multitouch gestures CONS: why not 1080p screen at this price Keys smaller than the old 17" HPs and the whole keyboard flexes with each touch Touchpad so unstable that it is never clear what screen will show up next.
Summary: We had a prehistoric fossil for a laptop with windows xp on it. We were skeptical about learning windows 8 and ended up going with 8 professional as recommended. After getting our new computer and learning how to use the new system we love it!! It is lightning fast and the screen resolution is awesome!! Sound system is great.... just love it!!
Summary: I could not even get through the tutorials before the computer froze up. After several attempts, I was thoroughly dissatisfied and have returned it for full credit to my account. What happened to Quality Control at HP.
Summary: Although I am completely enamored of this laptop, the one I received was nothing but a lemon. Ask me for a review after I get my new exchange and it might be a totally positive one. The graphics are wonderful and when gaming, the lag is negligible. HOWEVER IE ran slower than the molasses has been flowing lately and many of my apps and add-ons were not able to load.
Summary: The speed of this laptop is incredible. The screen is very large and the display is clean and crisp. This is my first time using windows 8 which definitely has a learning curve, but so far i have no problems with it. The overall look of the laptop is pretty slick. Bluetooth capability would have been nice, but I'm not complaining. I recommend this computer to anyone.
Summary: I bought this laptop in December. I have had some problems with Windows 8.1. This operating system is a whole new ball game. I am still learning. The computer itself is fine. The only problem I have had with it is using a blue-tooth mouse. It sometimes stops. The salesman warned me when I bought the mouse that it is a common complaint. I'm satisfied with the purchase.
Summary: I customized this HP Envy with what I wanted and am extremely happy with it. The screen is gorgeous but a little heavy with the touch screen (I have a cooling pad that tilts slightly but without it the laptop tips over easily when its opened at more than 90 degrees - watch out if you have kids!).
Summary: I will purchase/recommend the system for others.
Pros: Finally able to upgrade this machine to Windows 8.1. So if you have been having issues upgrading yours, you might want to give it a shot again. It looks as if HP/Microsoft have finally resolved their issues
Summary: I ordered this computer after having looked at several HP Envy laptops in both Best Buy, and one that a friend owned. When the computer arrived, I found that the fit and finish of the computer is a little less durable than other HPs I've looked at. My last laptop I kept for 6 years, so I expect to keep this one for that amount of time as well. I am concerned about both the keyboard, which seems flimsy, and the blu-ray drive tray, which also seems flimsy.
