Summary: I was forced to buy a new laptop because my old laptop came with Windows XP and had no available drivers for Windows 7/8. I decided to get a laptop that would handle games. After research I settled on getting a new laptop with an i7 quad-core processor, 16GB of RAM and a 17" screen. This was by far the cheapest one I could find with those specs. I found it at various prices ranging over a $200 difference on the web.

Summary: The computer is fast, the screen is very bright and clean. The only problem I have is that the touch pad is terrible, you have to push on it very hard and doesn't always work right. I might have to buy a mouse.
Summary: Good marks for working right out of the box, and continuing to work well for the purpose it was purchased for. I'm ambivalent on the "beats audio" set-up. Its supposed to be high-end, but the speakers are tinny and there's no real adjustments I could find except volume. Overall fit and finish is average and plastic-feeling, and its rather heavy. Not bad, but not impressive. Poor marks for the screen. Its so glossy that any light reflects and can make it a pain to use.
Summary: In all fairness, I must have gotten a lemon. 2 months after I bought this computer the screen went out and I had to send it for repair. I have 5 other older HPs in my house and this is the poorest performing HP I have ever had. My internet works well on my other computers but this screen freezes or takes forever to arrive at the website. Windows 8.1 sucks! It took me a month to figure out how to use everything.
Summary: I bought this laptop and i am very surprised about the good quality for this low price. i use it to work and my son play games on it. ;) the name of the game was titanfall. i think other games should run, too. The laptop very fast! i convert videos, up and download them and work on adobe photoshop and make presentations on it. The touchscreen works very fine and fast! So on...
Summary: I'm not sure just yet. I've already had to put it in the shop once. Hate Windows 8.1 what a POS Microsoft. It's not nearly as fast as I thought it should be. An i7 chip and 16 gigs of ram should smoke everything I've ever had but to be honest I can't tell any difference from my old Dell desk top that was 5 years old. The battery only last about an hour before you have to plug it back up. But I love the lighted keyboard, the big screen is nice too.
Summary: I bought this computer for my son who is a gamer and he said this computer rocks. His games no longer lag (he used to play on my crummy pc that was only an i3 with a 4gb ram) and he said it runs very fast (however you say that in tech-speak). Visually, the computer looks very expensive, at least more than the $769 I paid for, so from that alone, it was totally worth it. After researching more on this computer, I realize I got a really good bargain for what it can do.
