Not recommended!!!!

Comp1, Hewlett-Packard

  • Summary: I have had a total of 3 replacements on this computer. The track pad is very unreliable and makes the pointer flicker across the screen. On two of the computers the hard drive was also very loud. This indicates to me failure in the near future. On all three replacements the left side of the keyboard has a flexing issue. Even if you barely touch a key on the left you will see the whole left side flex up and down. This also happens to be very annoying while typing too.

  • Summary: I custom ordered this laptop about a month ago. The speeds are fabulous, keys are comfortable, appearance is gorgeous. I hate Windows 8 but if you download Custom Shell it makes it feel just like Windows 7!! I adore this laptop but I didn't upgrade the screen, I wish I had! The WLED-backlit Display (1366x768) that was included caused horrible eye strain and headaches.

Great performance laptop for the price

  • Summary: This is a great laptop. A fast quad core i7 processor, nVidia graphics card, good amount of hard drive space and lots of memory. It does not have an internal DVD drive, but those can be purchased separately and are inexpensive. The display is bright and crisp, and the casing itself is beautiful. Great computer at an attractive price!

Difficult to Upgrade RAM

  • Summary: I've had this laptop (Model 15t-k000 Quad Edition) less than a month - so far it runs well and looks like a sleek, well-made product. The backlit keyboard is nicely done and a pleasure to use. I bought this laptop configured with 8 GB RAM, hoping to install additional memory myself and avoid paying the exorbitant prices manufacturers typically charge.

Great computer

  • Summary: I just received my new laptop, and I am really enjoying it. I love the look. The back lit keyboard is a new plus for me. The speed is good, and I am loving the mobility of the laptop versus my old desktop. I thought having no DVD drive would be an issue; it is for my old programs. I work around this by accessing a DVD drive on another computer through a network; for newer programs, no DVD drive is not an issue; everything is downloadable.

Disappointed

  • Summary: I purchased this computer a year ago June 4. My daughter used for one school year and it sat in her bedroom through the summer. In Fall, when opening the computer, one of the two hinges failed. It simply broke. We called HP to find out if there was anything they could do since the one-year warranty had only expired three months prior, and they said that it would cost us $180 plus parts and shipping to get it fixed.

  • Summary: The laptop came with a broken keyboard (control keys and fn key didn't work). To get this fixed i had to travel 45 minutes to the nearest service center and then another 45 minutes to pick it up. Lately i got an email from amazon that the power cord this laptop came with is faulty and hp is recalling around 6,000,000+- and further use of the power cord is a fire hazard. I highly don't recommend this laptop even though its price is good and the laptop looks good.

Poor At BEST!!

UnhappyLia, Hewlett-Packard

  • Summary: I received this as a replacement PC only I was FORCED to take Windows 8 rather than Win 7 as I was told Win7 would not run on this model. As far as performance of the PC it has a PATHETIC display and I got the 1920x 1080p so I can only imagine how awful the standard display would be. You can only see from one angle and it pales in comparison to the previous IPS screens that were in the Envy before. Not sure why HP would do such a horrendous downgrade.
