Summary: The Elitebook is HP's most powerful mobile computer platform. Our Firm picked two of these up for the office. Our law firm uses document presentation software that requires powerful processing and graphics capabilities, and this computer does the job. It handles the largest case set-ups with alacrity and a lack of long lag times. I do recommend that power users upgrade their Elitebook from 8 to 16GB of DRAM.
Cons: I'm really surprised as this product there is not in HP support (?), a notebook which costs above $5,400! HP always have been characterized by its excellent support, so I can't understand how this expensive notebook does not appear at HP official site.
Summary: I've had my HP EliteBook 8770w 17.3 for almost 6 months now. I ordered it as a customized unit directly from HP - they shipped it from the plant in China right to my door (which made FedEx tracker watching pretty interesting). I bought this as a backup to my home-office tower primarily because of Superstorm Sandy - that knocked out power and cable internet for 10 days and I had no way of working.
Summary: First of all HP Computers are generally solid performers and this computer is one of those. It has some good features and some bad ones. I am using this computer to replace a desktop do to space restrictions and economy per performance. I have the laptop connected to an Acer 23” wide-screen LCD monitor and a wireless Logitech Wave keyboard. I designed a platform for the keyboard that places it above the laptop.
Summary: Very well made laptop that is very easy to use. The touch pad is huge and works fantastic. Windows performance rating is 7.3 which is as good as my desktop PCs. SSD drive makes bootup super fast. No junk applications pre-loaded! I am very pleased with my new HP.
Great build quality and specs. My only complaint is the screen resolution.

Summary: This machine is built to withstand almost anything you throw at it, both physically and in terms of workload. The build quality and materials are exceptional. From a industrial design and manufacturing perspective, it is even nicer than a MacBook Pro. I really like this machine, except for one issue, screen resolution. Apple has proven how beautiful and productive higher resolution displays can make even a laptop.
