Summary: I found a while back that used/refurbished business class laptops have a lot going for them in durability and features at a great price. Add to that many companies now buy laptops for their employees that never make it out of the office docking station. They just want to keep the support simple and keep the proliferation of different models to a minimum. I personally saw that in my last job with a national insurance company.
This is the best value for a used notebook computer that I have ever seen.

Summary: I am a mechanical engineer and I purchased this to run a memory, cpu, and graphics intensive program Comsol Multiphysics. This quad core CPU and M/B allows up to 32 GB of DDR3, and it includes Quadro 2000m graphics with 2 GB of DDR3. It came loaded with 8 GB (2 GB per slot x 4 slots). I can upgrade to 16 Gb for a little under $200 or 32 GB for a little over $300. Analytical programs run quicker with more built-in RAM.
Summary: this laptop has been absolutely great. it has every thing you need, is well built and looks great.i have had mine for a year now and i stand behind this thing, i work it hrad too, i run every thing on this guy, statistical software in R, my poorly written memory hungry python scripts, too games and movies. i couldn't be happier with my choice.
Summary: I bought this laptop to to do my CAD work while on the go. I have to say that this machine handles SolidWorks better than my desktop ever did. I find my self using the laptop instead of the desktop. Some key things that should be done to the laptop after you buy it is up grade the RAM. This puppy can handle 32GB!!!!! Also, add a solid state drive. My laptop literally take 3-4 seconds to boot up. Its quicker to reboot the computer that to resume, crazy right?
Summary: I just got this product for a steal at $650 refurbished and I love it. What people need to remember is this is not a laptop, it's a mobile workstation. This is thick and feels very solid. If you want to walk around w/something you're better off w/a tablet in this day and age anyway. Elitebooks are military grade and are tested to last in various harsh conditions, like sandblasting at it for 16 hours.
Summary: I bought this laptop for school for doing cad and photoshop and other things. although it has a short battery life and is bulkly its a a machine with great build quality and feels solid. I bought this laptop in Korea and had a couple of power surge issues but the 24/7 call center was able to assist me very, very well! Well done HP!
Summary: This is the best business laptop I've used in a long time. Really secure with finger print reader for security, fantastic software and just simple to use. Best purchase I've made for a long time.
Excerpt: Great computer at a Great price! This is a great computer at a great price. Sound quality is awesome with the beats audio, plenty of memory and CPU power to handle all my multitasking (Excel, Firefox, Chrome, Dropbox, PowerPoint, Photoshop all at the same time). I like how you can assign different shortcuts or passwords for each finger on the finger swipe. I haven't tested the battery that much yet as I just got the laptop, but seems to last for a long time.
