This is the best value for a used notebook computer that I have ever seen.

Summary: I am a mechanical engineer and I purchased this to run a memory, cpu, and graphics intensive program Comsol Multiphysics. This quad core CPU and M/B allows up to 32 GB of DDR3, and it includes Quadro 2000m graphics with 2 GB of DDR3. It came loaded with 8 GB (2 GB per slot x 4 slots). I can upgrade to 16 Gb for a little under $200 or 32 GB for a little over $300. Analytical programs run quicker with more built-in RAM.
Summary: this laptop has been absolutely great. it has every thing you need, is well built and looks great.i have had mine for a year now and i stand behind this thing, i work it hrad too, i run every thing on this guy, statistical software in R, my poorly written memory hungry python scripts, too games and movies. i couldn't be happier with my choice.
Summary: I bought this laptop to to do my CAD work while on the go. I have to say that this machine handles SolidWorks better than my desktop ever did. I find my self using the laptop instead of the desktop. Some key things that should be done to the laptop after you buy it is up grade the RAM. This puppy can handle 32GB!!!!! Also, add a solid state drive. My laptop literally take 3-4 seconds to boot up. Its quicker to reboot the computer that to resume, crazy right?
Summary: I just got this product for a steal at $650 refurbished and I love it. What people need to remember is this is not a laptop, it's a mobile workstation. This is thick and feels very solid. If you want to walk around w/something you're better off w/a tablet in this day and age anyway. Elitebooks are military grade and are tested to last in various harsh conditions, like sandblasting at it for 16 hours.
Pros: I was looking for a sturdy, dependable laptop to run Pro Tools. I use an Elitebook at work, and thrilled to see the Elitebook as a recommended platform on Avid's site. I was somewhat cautious because of the 'refurbished' tag, but did my research and took a chance mainly because of the price.
Summary: I waited a while to post this since the computer is "refurbished" and I wanted to see if all would work out. I have to say, I don't think the thing had even been opened before. Absolutely like new in every way I can tell. Very nice computer. Very glad I purchased it.. Very glad I saved with the refurbed price.
Pros: NICE computer. Longest battery life of any laptop I've worked with by FAR. I did not buy it for gaming or movies but the image quality is more than good enough for me. Like the keyboard size and the number pad. Really like the fingerprint scanner. Have not used the pointer embedded in the keyboard even once.
Cons: Bulky and pretty heavy, but it was not advertised otherwise.
Pros: Packed in a new HP EliteBook 8560w box with all accessories unopened. It also came with a 1 year Parts/Labor warranty. No dings / hardware defects - looks brand new. Right now, I'm very satisfied and ready to R'nR with Protools.
Summary: Bought this for the office. Has a business class feel to it, like a Mac’s aluminum shell almost. As an accountant I appreciate the full keyboard with numberpad, the i7 processor (overkill) and the ability to upgrade the RAM easily.
Pros: 1. The bottom plate/hood is simple to remove making it easy to work on and add upgrades.
Cons: 1. Mine had a ding on the top/front. I don’t mind, I saved $600
