Cons: Display became scrambled 3 weeks into owning laptop. When I first received the unit, I ran a full battery of tests on the hardware and everything came back fine. Now the HDD is coming up with smart error, hdd failing. . Sending laptop back within 30 days of purchase.
Summary: I still want a functioning laptop, so I am willing to go through the steps to get it resolved. I will change my review once everything has been rectified.
Pros: -I7 processor -full-size keyboard including number pad -large 15.6 screen -Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, with option to burn recovery discs -genuine HP power supply -genuine HP battery
Cons: -dented front left corner, could not remove the spacer from express 54 slot -one of the three hard drive screws was loose because it is stripped - max 1380x768 screen resolution (the 8560p model I use at work is 1600x1200 resolution) -hard drive crashed first day
Summary: I am a retired certified PC technician. This wasn't refurbished either. Any "Certified Microsoft Technician" knows the #1 killer of PC's is DUST. This is shameful. Dust was heavy in the DVD player.
Summary: If the manufacture will replace this junk then I will gladly right a very happy/positive review.
Pros: The laptop arrived in good shape. No scratches and appears new.
Cons: Windows 7 just totally failed. After installing QuickBooks and McAfee it has only been used for 2 days. All of a sudden after boot, 'ctr-alt-del' to login did nothing. Rebooted and went into BIOS and keyboard worked. Boot-up again and let it sit for 30min then finally it started "thinking" I was ...

Summary: Returns not allowed if you're dissatisfied. After researching SSD vs HDD, Quad core vs Dual Cord and battery life I was excited to get this in the mail to use for school! While SSD is indeed quieter than a HDD it doesn'tseem to save any energy.
Summary: The refurbished HP had pixel burn in the middle of the screen making the screen very distracting. Whomever did the quality testing on the product should have additional training as it was marked as "passing" all tests.
Summary: There are a few pros about this laptop. The keyboard is nicely laid out (you even get a 10 key pad) and it's plenty comfortable to type on. Okay that might be the only positive about this laptop. How about the cons: - The screen is one of the worst I've seen on a laptop in a long long time.
