Summary: I do not give five stars because I must acknowledge it is a two and a half year old model. But I bought it for tandem working with my EliteBook 8560p (its twin brother with extended keyboard and larger screen), as it is lighter and more portable on the road. Both have fast processors and 4 Gb Ram, what makes them pretty powerful (reduced math simulations from 4 hours in my old PC to 40 minutes).
Summary: I have been pounding away on this laptop for almost a year now. It is very durable. The one flaw I have found that I have not been able to fix is that it does not connect to Wifi in my home. I know - disaster, right? I keep it hard wired at my desk. I have read online several fixes for this problem but could never figure it out. Boo. I like HP, always have stood by their quality. Just not sure why this one feature can't be resolved.
Summary: I bought this laptop to replace a very lightweight Sony that had ran Vista and was starting to have issues, both with the software and the hardware (keyboard starting to act up). This Windows 7 Laptop is heavier but seems very well built. I think I saw something about being built to military standards for durability standards (I could be wrong on this), but it seems as it very well could have been.
Summary: This laptop was a pretty good price for what it includes. Pros: A light for the keyboard (though it is pretty dim), matte screen, mine included Windows 7 which I love and Microsoft Office (not sure they all come with this though). Very sturdy. Lots of metal parts. Nice web cam. Cons: The scratchpad is bulky and doesn't always cooperate (it likes to make the screen zoom in and out when you don't want it to). The laptop is very heavy and a little thick. No HDMI port...
Summary: I bought this laptop for both school and some gaming. I t works well in both areas. I don't like the keyboard or mouse pad, but I've never liked them on a laptop. At home with a good wireless mouse and keyboard it definitely lives up to everything I expected.
Summary: It’s a really nice laptop. I really liked that mine came without windows preinstalled, and I installed Linux on it and it worked very well. Its a really powerful laptop with a really low price, the USB 3.0 ports (it has 2) works really fast. I’ve never seen before a laptop running that fast, it’s a great value for money being a 2ºnd generation i7 with a dedicated graphics card with a such a low price.
