Summary: For the price I purchased for, it's definitely something. I was looking for an afforable i5/i7 dual core to upgrade to (the hyperthreading's useful), and I came across this. I purchased mine from the seller "Computer Express" if you were curious.
Summary: Generally , a pretty good business laptop, reliable, extremely well and solid construction. Worth the actually price. Compared with the price of a brand new one and the excellent quality of the refurbished product you cannot comment on the price. Overall a 4/5 because of the screen issue.
Pros: Very well build, solid, excellent keyboard, fast processor. excellent battery life, very reliable.
Cons: weak video processor, video quality poor, image quality problems video processor related after trying to update or recalibrate the screen color, poor quality webcam ( even is markedlike 720p ). I returned mine for a replacement related to the above issue.
Summary: Replaces a 10+ year old XP systems for Mrs., so the main criteria for selection was price, screen size, O/S (not 8!), and adequate supply of ports.
Pros: Exactly what was expected - little bloatware to removed. When I've a chance for further tweaks, I suspect the boot-time will continue to improve.
Cons: HP Security center kills boot time. A WIndows 7 Update (obviously from MS, so I did't take eggs off) kill the O/S, so I had the 'pleasure' of trying out the restore partition the second day. Better than original load (no Office365 to removed). Update worked better. A number of iApps pre-installed...
