Hewlett-Packard Elitebook 2570p Notebook PC Review – Excellent Performance from a Business Machine
7 June 2013
Excerpt: Over the last couple of years I have reviewed the Hewlett-Packard (HP) Elitebook 8440w and 2540p, declaring them each as a laptop that I would love to be able to keep and use in my daily life, and as the two of the best business laptops I’d ever used.
Pros: Great looks for a business machine; excellent general performance; solid graphics performance; excellent balance of features
Cons: While the light is a nice addition, by now all of their products should have shifted to lighted keyboards.
Conclusion: Against that, the display is only average and build-to-order configurations are costly. Corporate IT departments deploying a thousand units will love the EliteBook, but quantity-one entrepreneurs may want to compare it to another ultraportable with a DVD drive, Toshiba's 13.3-inch Portege R935, or...
Pros: Highly expandable, Flexible battery options, Great typing feel, Mobile broadband add-on
Cons: Mediocre display quality, Small touch pad and wonky keyboard layout, Pricey in BTO configurations
Summary: From its highly functional ProtectTools utilities and sturdy design to its great low-light webcam and plethora of ports, the HP EliteBook 2570p is a compelling business portable that both users and IT managers will appreciate.
Conclusion: In the end, the EliteBook 2570p is a sturdy, well-built laptop that screams professionalism, and can prove itself out in the field. The Core i5 keeps the laptop humming along nicely, and while the integrated graphics aren’t anything too special, they prove that big things can come in small packages.
Summary: Built from the ground up to withstand the rigors of the road, the EliteBook 2570p is rugged and durable. It isn't in the same class as something like the Panasonic Toughbook series of laptops, but then again HP's offering isn't nearly as big or as bulky as those machines either.
Summary: Underexposed. HP's Elitebook 2570p is a subnotebook that bucks the trend towards increasingly lighter and slimmer systems. Its sturdiness, durability, battery life, performance, and communication interface options seem to make it the perfect ultra-mobile companion for professionals.
Pros: Very powerful, CPU performance, Very good input devices, Fast storage, Port selection reflects what business users demand, Recovery media, The overall very good performance (thanks to the SSD), the sturdy construction, and the very decent input devices.
Cons: Dark display with low contrast, Restrictive viewing angles, Power loss on battery, A brighter display with better contrast.
Summary: EliteBook 2570p odziedziczyły zalety i wady poprzednika.
