Summary: We replaced HP Windows Vista dv4 5 year old laptop with this HP EliteBook 2540 P Windows 7 unit. We were NOT interested in Windows 8 at this time, but could not find Windows 7 units from local retailers at the time we were seeking. (Recently available again because there is still demand - hmmm.) Purchased this reconditioned laptop and have found it to be much better than expected - very good condition, much better graphics, and small form factor.
Summary: I was seeking a high end notebook with Windows 7 & with a screen size of 12.1 maximum and at a minimum price. It arrived quickly and is as described, and it is fast. I bought an 8 gig upgrade kit and installed 1 chip for 6 gigs. The second chipset goes under the keyboard and I will need some "professional help" to install it. I'm happy with this notebook.
Excellent product, very portable and good battery life

Summary: I purchased a used HP 2540p laptop after doing some research on its features. The unit came with no OS which is not a problem for me. I was impressed with the advanced features which you don’t find on most computers. It’s a few years old and not as light as many current ultrabooks and notebooks. However, this unit came with an extended battery pack (adding to the weight) which is acting like a new one so far.
Summary: Fast and compact, very vivid HD video. no need to up 4gigs ram runs fine as is. Well put together machine nice size easy to see keypad, with a special little bonus light that is located next to the webcam, that shines onto keypad
Summary: something that does more then just com it a friend that want to walk an talk too i guess this world is not ready for something awesome we can only feel how it is as i would think of it more then feeling its a friend
Excellent portable notebook with long battery life.

Summary: Very nice portable notebook for the price. I haven't fully tested the battery life but when it's fully charged it says I have 8-10 hours remaining. Plenty of power to run my memory hogging applications.
Summary: I've had this little slice of perfection for a few weeks, so far I absolutely love it. I'm older, I don't understand computers the way that most people do, what I can say is that other than the audio on the occasion that I watch media alone, this thing is GREAT.
Excerpt: I "have it" as a corporate laptop. I like the size and battery life. Looking at the GDGT specs I think this is a toned down version. Graphics performance on this one is so-so (integrated), no DVD / CD (I dont care) and processor is mega-slow. So... nice size and battery, rest is improvable.
