The HP dv8 is a notebook powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Core processor i7-720QM processor with 6 MB Level 2 cache, 4096 MB (1 x 4096 MB) RAM (with up to 8GB upgradeability), NVIDIA GeForce GT 230 graphics card (with up to 2815 MB (1 GB dedicated) video memory), and supports a 640 GB (2 x 320 GB) (7200 rpm) hard disk drive, Lightscribe Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD±R/RW Double Layer optical drive, and a 18.4" diagonal high definition HP Ultra Brightview Infinity display (1920 x 1080). It supports connectivity via integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Intel 802.11 a/g/n and Bluetooth® wireless connectivity. The HP dv8 also features Altec Lansing speakers with integrated subwoofer and with Dolby Home Theater, full size keyboard with integrated numeric keypad and 1 Quick Launch Button, touch pad with On/Off button and dedicated vertical Scroll Up/Down pad, and the following input and outputs: one ExpressCard/54 slot (also supports ExpressCard/34), 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader for Secure Digital cards, MultiMedia cards, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, or xD Picture cards; four USB 2.0, one VGA port, one HDMI connector, one eSata + USB connector, one RJ45 ethernet connector, two headphones-out, one mic-in, expansion port, one IEEE 1394, remote control infrared port and cable docking connector. The HP dv8 measures 43.6 cm (L) x 28.6 cm (W) x 3.37 cm (min H) / 4.37 cm (max H) and weighs 4.06 kg. The HP dv8 also features integrated finger print reader, and comes with a HP Pavilion WebCam with integrated microphone and HP Mobile Remote Control.
