Summary: I bought this product because the price was right but it had three issues that would have cost me $200 to fix to be able to use it. I feel that this should have been revealed before hand otherwise I would not have had to send it back.
Excerpt: I recently bought my Compaq Presario laptop a couple months ago for school and I absolutely love it. It has the new windows 7, a 250 gigabite hard drive 3 gigabites of ram, and just looks great in general. I love it because It has a matted finish which keeps it from getting all diry and scuffed up all the time like most other laptops (especially toshiba). The sound Quality on the laptop has been okay, but it is definetly NOT a music laptop at all.
Excerpt: I have had this laptop for a little over five months now and am very pleased with it. I originally bought it to use for online college classes and the usual internet surfing. It has performed as well or better than my previos laptop which costs four times as much as this laptop cost. The screen is bright and clear. The processor is fast. It has plenty of memory for the average computer user. I love the windows 7 operating system!
Compaq cq62, better than the old, could use a bit more

Excerpt: I have owned this laptop for almost a year now, and thus far it hadn't crashed once. the battery life is good, and the screen is much bigger than my old laptop, a toshiba satellite L25. the mousepad is a bit awkward at first, but once you learn where the edges are, it gets much easier. my only real complaint is how the contrast settings on the screen are set- whites end up very washed out and it's hard to find the menu to change it.
Excerpt: This laptop had impressed me greatly for the price that I had bought it for. I had to send it back once or twice for a few problems, but it's been etremely helpful when I travel around with the family. The screen displays colors more vivid than my other Compaq laptop, and would choose this one over the last I had. The keyboard is comfortable to use and easy to figure out the FN keys.
Excerpt: I've worked more than a decade in tech support and have had my hands on a fair number of laptops. Generally over the last decade my companies have paid between 900 and 1500 for their "business" model of laptop regardless of the manufacturer. When my wife went back to school this Fall we happened to be looking at Walmart and saw this model on sale for $399.
Excerpt: I just recently purchased a new Pressario 62-215 DX Laptop notebook computer because I wanted to have something that I could take with me on trips or use in my room when I cannot get up to use the desktop. I absolutedly love my laptop and it is alot easier to use then my older laptop was. I was a little aprehensive about getting one that has Windows 7 because I have heard alot of people commenting that they did not like it.
Excerpt: I found this laptop for around $400 on amazon.com and for that cheap, the quality is great. Battery life is around 4 hours and it had a 250gb hard drive. which is nice. mine came pre loaded with windows 7 which is amazing, and an anti-virus was pre-installed. the screen is very bright and a beautiful LED display is given.
Excerpt: (I tried to post this as a comment to "baprivett"s review but couldn't seem to make the comment thing work) Right. I understand. Here's what I've learned about tech support people. They are NOT all created equal, nor are they all at the same stage of knowledge and competence. Overall (having utilized tech support quite a bit during my first days of ownership of Presario CQ62 this November) I'm finding about 90-95% of them to be eager (even if feigned) to help me as well...
