Excerpt: The Compaq Presario CQ62 offers decent memory and fast processing. However, that is where the good qualities end. I have had numerous problems with the Compaq Presario in the 2 and half years I have owned it. First, the cooling fan stop functioning and had to be replaced. Then, the battery quit charging and had to be replaced. Then, the power supply/charging card stop working and had to be replaced. Then, the keyboard had to be replaced.
Summary: I got this laptop for school, and it worked great...at first. It has a terrible battery life and very poor screen quality. Not to mention games. the cooling system is busted and the processor cant handle more than 2 browsing windows open. cheap laptop + HP = poor buy.
Excerpt: where do i begin with this laptop. to start off with the buttons are super hard when typing, the trackpad area is not a smooth pad but a rough one just like the rest of the laptop, the mouse clickers are very hard just like the buttons ive had this laptop for around 6 months now and i am still not used to it.the supposably awesome speaker system is garbage. it has a very low volume, no highs, no mids, no lows.

Excerpt: Compaq 15.6" Presario CQ62-215DX 2GB 250GB Laptop Notebook PC is very reasonably priced. It looks great, it is pretty fast, and is very quiet. It has got everything for someone who just needs a laptop for browsing the internet and using word processor. The laptop has no camera but it has a built-in microphone. It is black so you will see every piece of dust on it,the keyboard is odd because the keys are too low, and too close to each other, making it hard to type.
Summary: this laptop has major flaws. the battery life. i had it for 10 months and the battery lasted 30-40 minutes. but, it charges fast. the cooling unit is rubbish. you can have it in your lap for 20 minutes, and it will be an oven. there is only 1 cooling vent/fan. it over heats too fast. if your a gamer, this laptop is not for you. i play some games sometimes on this, but it is noticeably laggy. not too much, but noticeable.
You can do so much better than this with the same money.

Summary: I bought my CQ62 in spite of the warnings because I found a "great deal". It worked exactly as expected out of the box, but I was immediately disappointed by a slight curve in the key board. The keys in the center of the top half of the keyboard were all slightly lower than the others. It was odd, but in all the time it functioned I never had a problem typing, so I got over it. The second thing I noticed was that it was difficult to use the static mouse.
Summary: I bought one of these puppies a week or so ago and I had to exchange it because of fan problems. Now I have another one -- and guess what? More problems. The screen is slightly dark on the right (annoying but not horrendous) and the fan it still crap; it makes an irritating humming noise. It gets on my nerves. Does that mean it's going to break? I don't know. I hope not.
Summary: This thing is pretty slow and has issues my 3 year old Compaq doesn't have. The installed wi-fi card/software is slower and more prone to timed out issues from my ATT wireless router/modem. Keys are almost unreadable due to small fonts. For $260. thats what you get!
Summary: I had an economical Compaq all-in-one and was very happy with that so I bought this one and hate it. The touch pad is an absolute joke. A small, undefined area for scrolling and a very narrow bar for clicking make it a nightmare to navigate through pages and to drag and drop. I have to use it with an external mouse. There is also no guide to the many function keys on the keyboard that it touts.
Summary: This laptop is a bit slow, but I cant complain for $348. I bought a Compaq for my sister that was similar to this one, except it had the keypad and an extra 1GB of memory and I only paid an extra $30 and it was worth it. It doesnt feel as cheap as this one and its much faster.
