Excerpt: I own a compaq cq60-215dx and I can tell this is disposable. This is my second Compaq in 3 years, and the reason why I insisted in getting another one was because I had hopes that I was just unlucky with the first one. The battery doesnt last more than 3 months (both cases) I had to exchange it while in warranty, but then, it happened again. This time the monitor was almost breaking, getting apart from the bottom part.
This product is horribly made, and none of the accessories last.

Excerpt: At first when I got this product, I loved it. The computer itself was fast, ran smoothly, and had no problems. Then, within 5 months, the charger crapped out on me. So I called Compaq, and after being on the phone for 3 hours, i finally got a replacement which I shouldn't have had a problem getting since it was under warranty. 2 months later, the battery went. They gave me a hard time yet again, but their was a malfunction in the battery itself, it didn't die.
Excerpt: I debated on buying this laptop, as I was a "die-hard", very happy Dell customer. I had a desktop, but really had been wanting a laptop, for it's portability. I was actually looking into the Netbooks, as I wasn't ready to divulge a ton of money into a laptop. Since it was going to be my first laptop and I have little kids, I wanted to make sure it would survive in my house, before I invested a ton of money into a fully-loaded, "everything imaginable" model.
Summary: Overheats like a bitch, bad battery. Battery life span is about 30 minutes. Not good for working on projects, homework, etc. Can't even play flash internet games without overheating itself. Save yourself the money and pain and buy a quality not-compaq laptop.
Summary: Had a CQ60 computer for a little over a year and the battery gets to 40% and the computer dies. Warranty expired 2 weeks ago and HP can't help me. I went online to buy a new battery and surprise, everyone says the battery sucks. My previous Compaq, the AC adapter died after 2 weeks and HP sent a replacement. My brother's Compaq, the battery died after a year and he bought a new one after his wireless card died too. This is the last Compaq I buy ever.
Excerpt: I'm a computer nerd, and proud of it! I can build a computer, and my friends and collegues always call me for help. I had always thought highly of Hewlett-Packard, as I had great experience with their desktops, and I recommended them to everyone, even purchasing their products for my entire company. * After buying the Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX (NB276UA) PC Notebook for my own personal use, I can not ever again, in good faith, recommend Hewlett-Packard to anyone.
HP warantees and tech support leave a lot to be desired
28 September 2009
Summary: Bought my CQ 60-410 computer 28 Aug 09. Today is 28 Sept 09. I have been on the phone with tech support more times than I can count trying to figure out why this piece of junk keeps popping up a bluescreen error and shutting down. After a month of calls they finaly decide I need to return it to the factory so they can fix it. The kicker is now HP has decided they will no longer pay shipping to return their defective product under warantee.
Excerpt: I purchased this Compaq laptop in Sweden for studying as it was the cheapeast laptop I could find and had a large screen which is perfect for watching movies. Initially, I figured it would be fine for what I wanted - surfing the internet, watching shows and the occasional game. After 2 weeks of owning it however, I regretted buying it.
Summary: We bought 2 of these computers for my daughters who are in college and high school. We have a home network that we have 4 other computers set up on, and at this point, 2 weeks later, still can't get these to keep an internet connection. Have spent hours on the phone with HP help... who apparently can't help us get online either.
Summary: I have been an HP person since '94.THe units were good and the service was OK. This was for desktops, which are still good - BUT. I have purchased 4 laptops in the last three years and all 3 HP's are not running. The one in 07 died in a day or 2. Returned it. The one last year, the screen died and can't get them to replace it, or fix it even though it is warranty according the the flunky e-mail support team. I bought another a week ago and was dead on delivery.
