High End for Low Price

  • Pros: Business Computer made 100% better than home computers. Most wires and cables double shielded, Hardened case, works great. Off Lease computers can be in bad shape but this one seems to have stayed on the shelve and unused. No wear on the keyboard or palm rest.
  • Cons: Small Hard Drive

Disgusting

N/A, Newegg
29 May 2014
  • Summary: This isn't a refurbished laptop, it's a used one. And someone used the heck out of it.
  • Pros: It doesn't come with Windows 8
  • Cons: It looks like this laptop has been used for 10 years in an enterprise setting. There's years worth of dirt caked solid in the cracks that lay between the laptop's components and in the spaces between the keyboard's keys. There is a silky smooth hole worn out in the middle of the mouse trackpad by some other human's dirty fingers. The whole thing felt greasy, and I felt compelled to wash my hands after handling it for 3 minutes.

Great product and very fast delivery. A very satified customer.

  • Summary: Great little laptop with a fairly good size screen. I purchased this mainly for playing on line games. It seems to be just fine for gaming. I had my 15 year old nephew come over to check it out. It worked well with his game. I have never purchased a new laptop or tablet when you can get one from ebay. I look for the "buy it now" option with free shipping for under $150. This little beauty is what I got.

More info on this machine

William B., Newegg
25 April 2014
  • Summary: Of the 5 machines I have now worked on, (2 personal, 3 at work) three were "perfect" right out of the box. The 4'th had minimal issues with Windows Activation, and a "dead" WiFi. The 3'rd, Windows Activation failed. The first 3 machines were identical, with a nice "brushed nickel" style top cover finish. #4 was a silvery plastic, and #5 was black.
  • Pros: This is an update to my previous review:
  • Cons: So far, the 2'nd of 3 units purchased by my boss, powered-up with a "dead" WiFi. I will have to investigate further. Machine #3, Windows activation failed, had to call MS on phone.

Great workhorse laptop

Phillip B., Newegg
23 April 2014
  • Summary: This laptop is quite powerful, but don't let the specs fool you on the processor. This is a 32-bit machine. I purchased this laptop used and put in a hard drive, and from the specs on the processor it stated it used a 64-bit assembly. This is true, but that does not equate to a 64-bit processor. Install the x86 versions of your operating systems, or prepare for some extremely unhelpful error messages.
  • Pros: Very powerful laptop for the price
  • Cons: There is only one con for this laptop (well-documented on the web): The wireless card is controlled by a wifi hardware switch touch button. This is not normally a problem, except that the controller that allows access to the switch requires a Windows installation to modify it. When I purchased this laptop, it came without a hard drive, so I had to install Windows first to enable the wifi switch before I could install Ubuntu. I don't know whether this controller stores...

Great machines!

William B., Newegg
15 April 2014
  • Summary: Going to recommend one of these machines to my boss.
  • Pros: Excellent price, excellent performance. I bought two of these, to replace the aging "Thinkpads" my wife and I had. We couldn't be happier! They look nice, feel solid, and "Just Work." It's also good to be able to get Windows 7 and not 8! The built-in WiFi has excellent range and speed. These are perfect for watching online videos, too. (External speakers are a big help.)
  • Cons: I can't think of any. :)

Not as described

Leslie S., Newegg
14 April 2014
  • Summary: Very disappointed but will see how NewEgg handles problems now. At the moment, my thoughts are that this item borders on being fraudulently advertised.
  • Pros: Not many. It is a laptop but not at all portable.
  • Cons: Battery does NOT charge.

E for Effort

DAVID E., Newegg

  • Summary: In light of they heartfelt resonses from ZoomUSA I will try them again when the opportunity arises.
  • Pros: ZoomUSA has very responsive to the problems I had with my laptop. They paid for return shipping and after a "Brief" delay a replacement is on its way to me.
  • Cons: They were a bit slow to respond to my issues which prompted a very negative review.

Works fine - no issues

Technogeek, Bestbuy
1 April 2014
  • Summary: This is a used corporate PC probably issued to a sales person. It has been used a lot because the shift key and space bar have been rubbed smooth.
  • Pros: It is what I expected and what was advertised
  • Cons: Considering that it is a used PC, nothing
