To summarize, the HP Compaq 6910p fulfils all requirements of a mobile office notebook. The robust case in typical HP business look provides a good base for daily use. The variety and number of interfaces, especially the docking port, allow a trouble-free integration into an existing office environment. The communication features are especially advantageous. These include Gigabit Ethernet, wireless LAN standard-n, Blue-tooth, and a built-in UMTS modem. Read more

The main advantage, though, is the inclusion of 3G, which allows you to check email and surf the net while on the move. HP has teamed up with Vodafone to deliver data services. With a battery life of 227 minutes, under test, we found this was hampered by as much as 20 per cent when running 3G. The HP Compaq 6910p is a great all-round laptop, with the inclusion of 3G only making it a better machine for the business user. Read more

While it would be nice to see HP get more creative by bringing some of its consumer innovations to its business lineup, as a business laptop the HP Compaq 6910p stacks up well with the Lenovo ThinkPads of the world and its other competitors in the space. Starting at around £1,100, it's a good fit for the businessperson requiring a laptop for a mix of road and office use. Read more

As some other HP's this came with XP/Pro installed and Vista Business on DVD's. A plus really, as you then have control and installation is fairly easy with HP drivers included. Newegg shipped quickly, as usual. Read more

I have used for a few years an HP 6440 laptop till I’ve decided to change from Windows XP to Windows Vista and that’s when things started to go slow, but very slow. Clearly I needed to change my laptop to something better as an upgrade wasn’t enough to help with the high requirements for running Vista. So after a few weeks of researches wanting to stick with HP I chose an HP 6910p laptop. Read more
