The HP Compaq 6715b is a 15 inch widescreen laptop equipped with an AMD mobile chipset. This HP Business Notebook PC comes installed with Microsoft’s Windows Vista Business or Vista Home Basic versions. HP also offers the choice to downgrade the operating system to Windows XP Professional.

HP Business Notebooks are made to be easy to manage for the company’s IT department. HP Compaq 6715b laptops are designed to share a single image, making management easier.

These laptops also have a number of security features. These include an embedded Trusted Platform Module security chip 1.2, a biometric fingerprint reader and HP’s ProtectTools software.

The chipset supports an upgrade to a maximum of 4 gigabytes of DDR2 SDRAM. For graphics, the laptop features an ATI Radeon X1250 graphics card.

The 15.4 inch widescreen display comes in three different choices: a WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) LCD with Anti-Glare treatment; a WXGA BrightView LCD; and High Resolution WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) screen.

This laptop, which measures 14 x 1.4 x 10.4 inches (W x H x D) with its weight starting at 6.06 pounds, comes with 4 USB 2.0 ports, a single FireWire) IEEE1394a port, Ethernet (RJ-45), 56K modem (RJ-11), a docking port, S-Video and VGA.
