Summary: The computer didn't come with a webcam, but other than that t was ok. It did end up having to be put on safe mode with networking because it wouldn't allow me to anything on it without being in that state.
Excerpt: I needed a laptop for secondary use just to run some software on to use with clients for my business. Not to use as my primary with email or creating documents, etc. So, I wasn't looking for all the bells and whistles. However, I would at least expect the features it comes with to be working.
Summary: In hind sight I should have waited until I could afford a brand new one. The screen is small, making the font also small. I have had a couple of problems with driver issues, but they seem to resolve themselves.
Summary: Bought this laptop as a replacement for a 3-yr old Dell that, literally, crashed and burned. Needed to run the same software; namely, 32-bit Windows 7 compatible. This model has the same good, fast chipset as the Dell. No big surprises, then, in performance.
Summary: After trying to get some things to work on the refurbished unit I finally bit the bullet and re-installed Windows 7 from the installation disc that came with the unit. After that it was all easy, I just downloaded and installed all the updates and then installed the personal programs I wanted.
Summary: The Laptop was what was expected, but the supplier did not do a good Quality Control check. The Wireless card had the wrong Driver installed, and did not work until the software driver was deleted, and the correct one dowloaded and installed.
Summary: Display Driver needs to be updated. Screen will just go blank then "restore" its self. Technical help is 8-5pm EST. I'm in CST time zone so no one is available to assist when I get off work and am near the computer.
