Excerpt: After 9 months of using my nx6110 laptop, the power cord melted into the system board and I lost the ability to charge the laptop. It was still under warranty, repair went fine through HP until exactly nine months after it was fixed, the EXACT same problem happened AGAIN. Warranty had expired and HP customer service told me "buy a new laptop because it is approximately the same as the cost to replace the system board again!!!!!
Pros: small and lightweight
Cons: Overheats & power adapter melts into motherboard, HP has very poor customer service
Excerpt: Overall a pretty good laptop, i got one very cheap a couple of years ago, and it is still going strong, although the very small RAM makes it very slow at times, and often freezes. It can take a very long time to start up, and isn't great for playing games on due to the small processor. It is very durable, it is still all in one piece even after it has been dropped a few times, and when a key came off after my cat had an argument with it, it was very simple to re-attach.
Excerpt: After reading reviews until I dreamt in star ratings, "Pros" and "Cons", I decided to purchase a HP Compaq NX6110 laptop in December 2005. I had had several Compaq laptops in the past and when this particular model won the Best Buy award in Computer Shopper at the time, I decided I would treat myself. At less than £350, I thought that this was a bargain not to be missed, so I promptly ordered one.
Excerpt: I Have had this laptop for over a year now and it has not been a good experience for me. the processor is relativly slow and often crashes when running applications such as Adobe Photoshop due to the lack of memory provided, and the laptop is built cheaply and cracks are starting to appear on my laptop even though i am very carefull with it.
Excerpt: I have used this notebook for just under twelve months now and it has given me consistently good and reliable service. The display is clear and bright with good backlighting, the battery life is generally good and the keyboard is well layed out, positive and easy to use. The pointing device has an integral slider bar which is useful for quickly navigating up or down pages.
Pros: Small Footprint, Clear Display, Light Weight
Excerpt: I am a student, and desperately needed a new notebook after my Fujitsu Lifebook popped it's clogs at the worst time imaginable. The NX6110 was a guardian angel to me - I had all my coursework in on time thanks to it's reliability and great keyboard. But as the months wore on, I did notice it's shortcomings. The touchpad seems to lose it's sensitivity over time, as the one on my unit seemed to gain a mind of it's own by the 3rd month of ownership.
Pros: Cheap, Light, Good battery life, Great screen
Excerpt: I bought this to take to university and i have now had it for a year. It is a great laptop and continues to serve me well. It has everything most users need: office tools, internet and plenty of space. The wireless internet function works perfectly, I have taken it out and about to various hotspots and had no problem. The battery life is exceptional compared with the laptops belonging to some owned by my friends.
Excerpt: Ive been using this laptop now for about 6months and I have to say ive been very impressed by it. This laptop isnt perfect but overall Its a nice solid laptop cable of performing the tasks which I require from it. Design Not really much to say on the design front, pretty typical of HP laptops its clean, simple and compact. Its a laptop with the design edge which just gives it that bit of sophistication exactly what you want nothing more nothing less.
Pros: WiFi, Design, Firewire, Very Quiet, Long Battery life
