Windows 8 Requires a Better Processor, It Isn't Worth the Money

Summary: Before starting with my current employer, I didn't know much about computers. My mom bought this for me about 2 and a half years ago for about $400, and I thought it was a great deal for the money at the time. My cousin actually made the same mistake recently without knowing it, and bought this computer from Wal Mart for about $250 on clearance.
Summary: Not impressed with this purchase. Word programs are not included like a lot of laptops and the computer is extremely slow at times and I haven't even downloaded anything onto it yet. Will probably not order a laptop from this company again.
Pros: Ehhhh, Newegg has taken to the old bate and switch. Offer a product along with a gift card, but the gift card is a rebate that isn't clearly expressed as such. Laptop is OK, installed CentOS on it so have no idea how a normal user on Windows 8.1 would find it.
Cons: No Cons on the laptop but read the fine print before purchasing any special deals.

Summary: Nothing but problems with it. Slower than expected, and then lots of other issues. Bought for a daughter for a class but different screens keep popping up and the pages lock up constantly. We have a very good antivirus program installed -- it bombed for her from the beginning. She is very frustrated.
Not very impressed with the overall working condition of the product.

Summary: The cosmetic part was very nice. When I tried to use the SD card reader and two of the three USB ports they did not work. I had a local computer tech check it out and he got the two USB ports working but could not do anything with the SD card reader. Cost me $70 to have this checked out. Overall I was not very impressed with the product.

Summary: My experience with product was not a good one. I bought this laptop on sale at Walmart for $299 (on sale). I bought it to replace my 7 year old Toshiba Satellite. I didn't want to pay a lot for a laptop at the time. Being a writer, my main purpose for purchasing was to write my manuscripts, surf the web and use it for power point presentations for my business. When in the store, the display model was not working. (The processor was non-functional.
