Summary: I needed a replacement for my aging Toshiba which I had no problems with, but it just seemed to get heavier with time. The Gigabyte has just the right combination of abundant ports which I need for business and reasonable speed/memory for my daily apps.
Summary: Had high hopes for this model, but alas -- quality control is apparently a severe issue with Gigabyte's laptop line. At the time of purchase, over two months ago, this ultrabook did occupy a unique place with features others did not have and a low price.
Summary: I use it for 3d work, and it has all what I want, it came with msata and second SATA can hold normal sata HDD. also it came with GT 640/2GB. no brand has all this spec in such light weight. the only thing I didn't like is the body made from cheap plastic.
Summary: This notebook could be improved in a number of ways, but since there's nothing else quite like it, I give it a full 5-stars. Asus was supposed to release a similar notebook, as were a couple other manufacturers, but they turned out to be vaporware.
Hard Drive Failure after 10 Months - No Customer Support.
Peter H, Amazon
4 January 2014
Summary: Hello, I bought this laptop in Feb 2013 and the hard drive failed in November 2013. I didn't buy the laptop from Amazon so not an Amazon issue. Gigabyte hardware simply isn't worth buying and worst off all, when I contacted Gigabyte support directly they refused to fix the issue.
