Summary: So far so good! I bought this computer for college and gaming. Shipping and set up went quickly and smoothly. Battery life is decent for everyday internet use. Performs well (not sure of the frame rate) on intense games like Skyrim and Dishonored without getting overheated, and the HD screen is beautiful! Haven't had to try and update my graphics driver though, which sounds like the only thing that has given people problems.
Summary: I've had this product about 3-4 months now. I immediately upgraded mine to Windows 8.1 Professional when I got mine, without testing the system first. I point this out because it's possible this was the cause of the subsequent driver issues I had, but I doubt it as I found others with similar issues. Upgrading both the Intel HD 4600 drivers and the Nvidia GTX 770m drivers resolved this.
Summary: Junk, very disappointed. Spent 2-3 hours on the phone with Tech support, there was an OS driver conflict they refused to resolve and suggested I "simply return" the PC. This is something that should have been resolved long before it was in my lap. Returned it for a refunds, which was also a hassle.
Summary: Tried to find the new notebooks with Nvidia's 800 series GPUs but as stated, they're not available yet. Have been waiting to replace my old 17" workhorse and this will be what it takes for me jump. no more "stunted" shift key! If only there were a way to disable 'tap to click'. The specs are great: [...] These older ones sound pretty darn good, if the new ones are priced too high, may have to settle for the 700M series.
Summary: I've owned this laptop for about 2 months now and it has been absolutely fantastic. I did a ton of research before running into this bad boy, and notebookcheck left it's brother (the Gigabyte P25-CF3 w/ 16 GB ram and 256 GB SSD) out of the top 10 reporting that it was too expensive and had an overheating problem. The CF4 model, while it has less ram and less ssd space, cost $400 less and comes in an awesome matte BLACK instead of that nasty yellow color that the CF3 has.
Summary: Other than a few little software issues and a sticking Shift key the computer it fantastic. The software issues are more with the Nvidia Optimus (switching between integrated and discrete graphics). I can live with the sticking Shift key as Gigabyte's tech line said it would be a 2-3 week turnaround time for it to be fixed.
