    I've been a Gateway fan way back from the days of the cow advertisements in the computer magazines (before they had the stores and then closed the stores). I never once hesitated on looking at this brand when I was shopping around for laptops. Most people tried to push me toward the bigger named ones--Acer, Toshiba, Dell, and HP. Read more

  • How is the webcam and microphone?

    My desktop and external web cam are horrible. Very grainy and can hardly see myself, and the other person can't see me either. I'm looking for a very clear picture on the webcam. I have an external mike for my desktop so I'm wondering how the quality is on the built-in mike. I use my computer mainly for email, video communication, and pictures (like photoshop). I don't play games (mainly cuz I don't know how), but I've been told Gateway computers are great for games but poor for operating Windows Office, and Word 7.
