Summary: But I'm not impressed with Windows7. Would have given a 5 with XP. At least windows has a site for research for issues that does help. Also wasn't impressed with the packing it came in. Just the cardboard around the styraforam end caps. Maybe that is sufficient, it seems fine. Only had it a couple of months. Still trying to get control of my own computer away from microsoft. XP wasn't this obnoxious. I've almost dumped microsoft several times.
Summary: I bought one 2 weeks ago. Specs are fantastic, lots of great features. Then I found out only 1 cd/dvd will boot! On all my laptops I run TrueCrypt. That will not install on this ah532 as the BIOS gives me a Secure Boot error. Part of the TC install process is to burn a cd & boot from it. BIOS refuses to boot that cd. I also usually run Acronis True Image 2013 to backup my C partition, which runs fine.
Summary: I don't know anything about computers and ordered this entirely on customer reviews. It was cheap enough, its seems easy enough to use (windows 8 takes a little getting used to but it'll come with time...) its quick, battery life is fine, its light, good build quality and generally pretty good!! Although I don't use it as much as others probably would, its spot on for what I need it for.
Excerpt: "Nice Laptop. For this configuration and quality, it is a bargain. Made in Germany. Note: This does not come with a pre-installed OS (e.g. Windows), so you should know how to install the OS yourself, or have someone do it for you.
Summary: Great laptop for the price, it does everything that I want it to. It comes with Win8 installed, OFC, and 2 partitions, which is how I like it so that I can keep OS & progs of C: and data on D:. it's a shame that the USERS directory isn't put onto D:.
Summary: owned 3 earlier versions of this laptop and only had to replace to upgrade. never had any problems with fujitsu so really I don't tend to look elsewhere. When this came up for sale I ordered it straight away as it was £50 cheaper than the nearest equivalent i5 processer and so far I,ve not been disappointed. Everything works as it should and I am really pleased with the battery life, which is all I could find fault with the older models.
Summary: I previously had a Fujitsu Amilo that lasted me a good four and a half years of heavy-duty usage (work and leisure), so when I needed to buy a new one I opted for the same brand. I was a little in doubt over this one at first, as it was cheaper than my other one and some of the reviews were not overly positive. But, in the end, I decided to go with the 'devil I know' and give it a try. I am certainly not disappointed.
