Summary: Absolutely phenomenal laptop!! I cannot say enough good things about this monster! Blazing fast, ultra cool looking, very solid construction and materials. Doesn't show fingerprints or get dirty easily. SLI is absolutely fantastic, fans aren't annoyingly loud even at full speed. Logitech LCD screen is awesome, ultra high resolution screen, etc. etc. etc. If you like to game and like awesomeness then this is definitely something you want.
Summary: Just to inform any buyers of this laptop, this is not a gaming laptop. Dell has two branches of other computers. There gaming laptops are Alien ware and their high performance is XPS. XPS will not have as good graphics cards or Ram. The Alienwares will be faster for gaming and most likely be a better all around computer, but this laptop will be perfect for advanced computing and will run most games fine.
Summary: This notebook is more like a desktop that folds, let's just lead with that. It is HEAVY, and designed more for gamers than for people who will be on the go for most of the time. That said, it was (and is) a powerful machine, with enough processing power and memory to get even fairly heavy-duty programs running well. I have installed Windows 7 on my model, and would recommend both the OS and the computer to anyone looking for a gaming laptop.
Summary: AS far as the Laptop is concern it great and works for my needs (Photography) I got two of these;.when compare to other gameing laptops Alienware and such This still holds its own. As far as the Transaction was concern it couldnt have been a worse experience if Amazon added Tammey Fey Baker to the mix along with Gomer Pyle. I first bought this laptop from an Edward Nunn on Feb 4th and it wasn't untill March the 3th that I found out that Mr.
Summary: This is a great laptop! I have had mine for about a year now, no problems with anything, the only bad thing is the weight of the laptop and the size of its ac adapter, but that doesn't bother me but might be a hassle to others...besides that great and i would reccomend this.
Summary: My first M1730 had the screen die and for $400 i could get a new screen, then id have to install it, not something I wanted to do. for the same price i was able to get this M1730. only thing is it wasn't a sapphire blue but a Red one with more memory. the reason I went with this laptop is that Dell and other makers i trust no longer make laptops with 4pin 1394 fire wire ports.
