Summary: This is a great laptop for what we use it for, as we needed another laptop for our embroidery designs and digitizing. It's lightweight, has a large screen, fast, nicely spaced keys, and the sound is great on the tutorials. Great computer from Dell, and we normally don't by Dell's products. This one has a lot of bells and whistles, so to speak, and the price was awesome. I haven't found anything yet, that I dislike about it.
Summary: This laptop is incredible. It is my electronic swiss army knife. Running nothing but say, a word document, you can squeeze 5.5 hours of battery life out of this puppy. Amazingly the same machine can shred games. I mostly play source games, and everything is silky smooth just under max settings. Important to note: If you want the F1-F12 keys to function like a mac, just change the setting in the BIOS setup when the computer is starting up.
Summary: This laptop is no doubt the best laptop of its time. Slim, attractive, light. The speakers are really awesome. Had some problems with graphics but after updating the driver problem was solved. The one and only big problem is sometimes it become hot while the graphics card is running or maybe as I rarely use that I noticed that. Keyboard also caught my attention but believe it or not this keyboard doesn't bother for more than 2 days. The screen is great.
Summary: I have owned several brands of laptops in all different size screens, but I have mostly stayed with Dell. I opted for all the bells and whistles on this one such as a higher resolution 1080 and the Core i7. Therefore, the configuration is higher end than the one listed here. But, basically it is the same computer. This XPS 15z is by far the best one I have had to date. I might add that I also have a MacBook Pro 15 inch.
Outperforms the MacBook Pro - and for over $500 less

Summary: The Dell XPS 15z is an amazing piece of technology from Dell. The entry $999 configuration comes pretty well loaded and competes very well against a MacBook Pro that starts at $1799. If you choose the higher end core i7 config, it easily beats the MacBook Pro in terms of performance you still save quite a bit of money. Just a tremendous value. Aside from that the system looks great. Very thin for a 15 inch and a fantastic screen. This is certainly an eye catching system.
