Summary: I ordered this beautiful laptop. Instantly fell in love with it! The display is dazzling. It was quiet, lightweight (you can easily pick it up with one hand), and with the 512GB SSD it powers up in SECONDS. It was everything I wanted. I can't deny it.
Summary: This computer said its for everyday use and some gaming but it really is not. If you try wow for a few minutes the computer gets hot fast and the game becomes unplayable even at low game settings. I really wanted a computer that was portable, touch screen and I could do some light gaming.
Summary: I've had this laptop for over 2 weeks now. My configuration is the core i7 with 512 gb SSD. For starters, this is a sleek, thin laptop with a premium feel to it. The screen has excellent color reproduction, and the high resolution looks amazing. Boot time is quite fast; I'd estimate around 10 seconds. I did a read/write test and both came in around 480 MB/s. Battery life is just average - I come in at about 4-5 hours of use before it dies.
Summary: The outlook is good, the system is fast, but the wifi is poor. Wifi often disconnected from router unless you sit not near the router. I update the wifi driver, but the issue is not fixed. I think this is not a software issue, but a design or hardware issue.
Summary: Just got my XPS 15 laptop a few days ago. I am somewhat disappointed. Boot time is slower than I expected. Other reviews praised the "beautiful brushed aluminum finish" of the laptop. There is NO brushed aluminum on this laptop, looks more like cast aluminum. It is heavy, it runs hot, and if you want to listen to music on it, forget it. The sound quality of the down-firing speakers is extremely poor quality. No graphic equalizer, no way to make it sound any better.
Summary: I can't believe it's taken Dell so long to catch up with the Retina Display of you know who.... and then to bring out a product that doesn't even have a Gigabit ethernet port... and a 16x9 ratio screen...! I like most people spend 1% of the time watching video and 99% of the time surfing the net, writing documents etc... and just think for one second which way around do you hold a A4 letter... 16x10 is the best compromise... so where is it...?
Summary: It promised a lot more than I feel like I got. The graphics card can't really handle the display (or World of Warcraft u2026 yeah, I actually had to type that), the 15" display can't do anything below 1920x1080 without freaking out and glitching up the type or icons.
Summary: After using the XPS 15 for some time I thought I would right a review. Lets start with the good. The performance is great. Its every bit fast as I wanted it to be. Also the back-lit keyboard is very useful. The resolution of the screen when gaming or watching videos is great. Sound is excellent from the built in JBL speakers. Now for the bad. Quality just isn't for my liking.
