Summary: This is the best Dell I have ever owned (and I have owned more than 5). It is a combination of beauty and performance and I just love it. The only things I wished it had were a VGA output (it limits the projectors I can use, but it is common with Dell to be like that) and an easily replaceable battery, but that is not too much to worry about.
Summary: I am not young. I am not a gamer. I am a salesman, and a Siemens PLC Programmer. When I am writing code I really do not like to have the PC holding me up, I need a lot of power. I don't want to have to get a cup of coffee while the program compiles. I have found this laptop to be up to the task, and the I7 is very fast.
Summary: For the price of 679 it is a great purchase. If you are looking for a bargain deal, this is a laptop to consider. Haven't seen anything close to the specs on this laptop for this price anywhere else, both online and retail.
Summary: I was using a Dell XPS L502X. Excellent laptop but bulky @ nearly 10 lbs + battery's only 2-hrs. Love the Macbook Pro (son uses one) but needed a Windows PC. The 14Z gives me the best of both worlds. The 3Ps -- Performance (i7), Portability (4.3 lbs) & Price (got mine for $900). Plus good battery life (4-5 hrs). I also considered a new Ultrabook but this had a DVD drive, rear connections (for easy home/work setup) & ethernet port (some Ultrabooks don't).
Summary: I got this laptop couple of days ago, and i bought the used type but " like new ". This laptop is beast! very powerful! and it's good for everything and i didn't waste any money, i even saved couple of 100's..At first i was going to buy the Macbook pro 13"..but it had 4gb ram, i5 2.40..so i said why should i buy a macbook pro and waste $500 ? when i can get a better laptop and save half a gran ? so i bought the dell xps 14z and it's really good, fast, easy and light!
Summary: I was using a Dell XPS L502X. Excellent laptop. It can & does everything but a bit bulky @ nearly 10 lbs & battery's only 2-hrs. Love the Macbook Pro for it's quality, size & battery (son uses one) but needed a Windows PC. The 14Z gives me a combo of both. Nice performance, sleek package (4.3 lbs) & good battery life. I considered the new Ultrabooks but this had a DVD drive, rear connections (for easy home/work setup) & ethernet port (some Ultrabooks don't).
Summary: Great ultrabook! Nice and slim, weight is less than 5 pounds. Great graphics, love the backlite keyboard, good sound and love that it comes with Adobe Photoshop elements. Great packaging and also came with recovery discs. Has the 14 diplomats Windows 8 update.
Great little notebook with BIG PC features and power...

Summary: After several months of using it, we're very pleased with our Dell XPS 14z Laptop/Notebook that features Intel i7 processor, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB Solid State Drive (SSD). At just 4.12 lbs with SSD it was/maybe still is Dell's thinnest and lightest full-featured 14" laptop with an internal optical drive." Did I say thin? It's thin, light, and includes a lot of processing power for the size.
Summary: I have owned several laptops but this one is by far the best! It's fast and lightweight with good battery life and a beautiful backlit keyboard. The wi-fi is very fast and I've had no problems connnecting or staying connected. The sound is great and the touchpad is very responsive. I was a little concerned about the keyboard since it appears from the picture to be compacted by the speakers on either side, but I have not had any issues with it.
Summary: This is the sleekest, coolest best looking dell laptop I have ever seen. I've owned it now for several weeks (purchased through Costco, not Amazon, for slightly more $). The specs are good. 8GB Ram, 750GB Hdd, i7core, dual core processor with hyperthreading, and a high-end clock rate during burst mode. The screen is fantastic, many more lumans brighter than my other dell laptop (an old m65). Now why did I pick this PC?
