Summary: I was using a Dell XPS L502X. Excellent laptop. It can & does everything but a bit bulky @ nearly 10 lbs & battery's only 2-hrs. Love the Macbook Pro for it's quality, size & battery (son uses one) but needed a Windows PC. The 14Z gives me a combo of both. Nice performance, sleek package (4.3 lbs) & good battery life. I considered the new Ultrabooks but this had a DVD drive, rear connections (for easy home/work setup) & ethernet port (some Ultrabooks don't).
Summary: Great ultrabook! Nice and slim, weight is less than 5 pounds. Great graphics, love the backlite keyboard, good sound and love that it comes with Adobe Photoshop elements. Great packaging and also came with recovery discs. Has the 14 diplomats Windows 8 update.
Great little notebook with BIG PC features and power...

Summary: After several months of using it, we're very pleased with our Dell XPS 14z Laptop/Notebook that features Intel i7 processor, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB Solid State Drive (SSD). At just 4.12 lbs with SSD it was/maybe still is Dell's thinnest and lightest full-featured 14" laptop with an internal optical drive." Did I say thin? It's thin, light, and includes a lot of processing power for the size.
Summary: The standout feature of the XPS 14z is that it has a 14-inch display housed in a chassis of a 13.3-inch notebook. Apart from the all-aluminium design, the narrow bezel is the first thing that you'll notice as the laptop boots up. The display has superb brightness and clarity - good for gaming, HD video and everything else in between. In terms of build quality, Dell has kept up with XPS tradition and used metal extensively.
Excellent Performance, fast reboot and amazing design.

Summary: Excellent Performance & Design, amazing Screen and the product's termination is fine. I like this Laptop, but after I paid $1,200+taxes, it's unfair that Dell suggests me buying an DVI-HDMI adapter, in the best cases, the adapter must have come when I made the order.
Pros: Design and Performance.
Cons: You cannot use the HDMI Port until the Nvidia Team updates the drivers. It's incredible, how a big Company, like Dell, launched a product with features that cannot be useful.
Excerpt: very fast and easy to use. i am left handed and the touch pad for the "mouse" feature is easy to use. the keys are quiet. i get about 3 to 4 hours of use after fully charged. an ideal battery life for me would be 12 hours a day but todays technology does not seem to allow that yet.
